Overhyped & Disappointing Experience at VISTA Rooftop – Not Worth the Hype

My family and I visited VISTA Rooftop Restaurant in Fortaleza, expecting a premium experience based on the hype. Unfortunately, our visit was far from enjoyable, and I left feeling highly disappointed.

First Impressions – Unwelcoming Reception

The reception set the wrong tone for the evening. The staff member at the entrance was rude and dismissive, making us feel unwelcome. Perhaps she was not used to seeing Black people who can afford anything they want—a clear lack of professionalism that should not exist in a place of this standard.

Service – A Mixed Bag

Our assigned waiter was the highlight of the night. Despite struggling with English, he went out of his way to communicate and assist us, which I truly appreciate. However, good service from one staff member does not make up for the overall poor hospitality we experienced elsewhere.

Ambience & Entertainment – Hit & Miss

The ambience itself was fantastic, with great views and a beautiful setup.

However, the live band was completely off, especially in their failed attempt at performing Afrobeat. If you're going to take on a genre, at least do it justice!

Food – Nothing Special

For a place with such a reputation, I expected the food to be exceptional—sadly, it was far from impressive. Definitely not worth the price or the hype.

Chaos & Valet Nightmare

The rowdiness was overwhelming, making it hard to enjoy the experience. But the worst part of the night was the valet service:

The valet staff looked confused when Black people stepped out of a nice car—completely unacceptable in 2024.

When we returned to pick up our car, they insisted on cash payment, which made no sense.

I stood my ground and said I would pay with my card—after all, who still carries cash when digital payment options are widely available?

Ironically, when I finally handed over a R$100 BRL note, they suddenly changed their mind and asked for card payment instead. Unprofessional, sketchy, and downright frustrating.

Final Verdict – Not Recommended

If you’re looking for a classy, welcoming experience, this is NOT the place. Overpriced, poor reception, chaotic atmosphere, and questionable valet service.

Would I return? Never. Would I recommend it? Not unless they drastically improve their attitude toward guests.

Vista Rooftop Restaurant is an absolute gem! We went for the Full Asian Experience, and it turned out to be the perfect choice, every dish was beautifully presented, bursting with flavor, and thoughtfully crafted to highlight authentic tastes with a modern twist.

What truly elevated the evening was the outstanding service. Diego went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely warm in his approach. He made the experience feel both special and effortless.

Between the stunning views, the excellent food, and the first-class service, Vista is without a doubt a must-visit spot. Whether you’re looking for a memorable night out or a place to impress guests, this rooftop delivers on all fronts.

Vamos lá. Reservas funcionam apenas com 1 semana de antecedência, ou seja, se quiser programar um evento especial como um jantar de namoro ou aniversário por exemplo, tem que ficar atento. Entrada do espaço muito bonita, atendimento da recepção nota 10. Preço do valet 25 reais, mas fiquei na duvida se o caro estava sendo estacionado na rua ou não. Cheguei ainda de tarde na parte externa e tive decepção. O espaço que foi inaugurado há pouco tempo já está com 2 sofás quebrados e parte rasgada. Pintura do espaço também descascando e apresentando falta de manutenção. O espaço ainda estava vazio mas o atendimento foi muito bom. Sobre o cardápio, alguns preços bons como o bowl thai por 58,00 muito bem servido, e o sanduíche de polvo 44,00 era delicioso. Mas 32 reais em 2 peças de nigiri de salmao é um dos maiores absurdos que eu já vi. Uma unidade de nigiri tem em média tem 40g de arroz e 10 a 15g de salmão. Não justifica. Outra coisa que não gostei é que não tem comanda individual. Quando a casa lotou, os garçons bateram um pouco a cabeça. O refrigerante que pedimos não veio. E uns 50 minutos depois chegaram na nossa mesa com 2 bebidas que a gente não tinha pedido. O valor do couvert é 15 reais. A vista é realmente espetacular. O banheiro super limpo, perfumado e organizado. E o ambiente a noite tanto externo quanto interno ficam muito bonitos. Vale pela vista. Mas precisam melhorar alguns detalhes para ser um local para retornar com frequência, senão vira apenas um ponto...
