OX Steak & Fish — Restaurant in Região Geográfica Imediata de Itajaí

People have been talking about this restaurant a lot recently, so we decided to check it out.

Location & Ambiance

The location is beautiful, spacious, and well-designed. The seating is comfortable, making for a pleasant dining experience.

Drinks

We started with drinks, and all of them were fantastic. Our favorites were the Strawberry Mule and the Whiskey Sour—both were flavorful and well-balanced.

Food Quality & Portions

The food itself was amazing—everything we tried was delicious and well-prepared. However, the portion sizes were quite small for the high prices. Side dishes are not included, so you have to order them separately. We recommend ordering at least two, as one is not enough to complement the meat dishes.

Service

Given the high prices, we expected top-tier service, but unfortunately, it was disappointing. The service felt lacking, and we’ve had far better experiences at more affordable restaurants.

Gostaríamos de compartilhar nossa experiência no restaurante. De forma geral, o ambiente é muito agradável, a comida é muito boa e o atendimento foi bastante cordial. No entanto, tivemos um problema na hora do pagamento que não foi resolvido adequadamente.

Um de nossos amigos, que não é brasileiro e estava indo embora no dia seguinte, informou à garçonete que pagaria apenas metade da conta. No entanto, por algum motivo, ele não foi compreendido, e o valor total foi cobrado no cartão dele sem que houvesse qualquer questionamento por parte da garçonete que realizou a cobrança. Ao perceber o erro, tentamos explicar a situação aos garçons, mas, apesar de várias tentativas, a equipe não conseguiu nos ajudar a corrigir o problema.

Diante disso, uma de nossas amigas mencionou que avaliaria a experiência no Google e, instantaneamente, um funcionário, possivelmente o gerente, disse que tentaria resolver a questão. Porém, ele demorou muito a retornar na mesa, estava muito tarde (23:45) e acabamos deixando o local sem uma solução satisfatória.

Nosso objetivo sempre foi resolver a situação de forma justa, mas as diversas opções que sugerimos foram recusadas, com a justificativa de que gerariam custos adicionais para o restaurante. Como nosso amigo que pagou a conta não possui conta bancária no Brasil, a solução sugerida pelo restaurante, que seria que nós transferíssemos o dinheiro para ele (via pix/transferência bancária) não era viável para nós porque neste caso teríamos custo com IOF e outras taxas também. No caso, mesmo que aceitássemos, nós resolveríamos o transtorno que o restaurante causou e ainda teríamos custos adicionais por isso?!

Deixamos essa avaliação para que o restaurante possa refletir sobre a importância de um atendimento mais eficiente e flexível diante de situações como essa. Gostamos muito do lugar e esperamos que futuras experiências sejam...

We ordered dry-aged beef steaks but the steaks weee very tough and clearly were not dry aged. They were medium rare as ordered, but sliced by the waiter and served on a very hot iron platter, they soon overcooked to a well-done state. The staff could have advised us to quickly move the steaks to our plates to prevent overcooking. If you walk in looking like a tourist, they may not bother to serve you their finest steaks but will charge you for the expensive cuts you ordered but do...
