Landruá — Restaurant in Região Geográfica Imediata de São Luís

Realy nice location. Plenty of parking. We were seated right away. They have a proper hand washing station and a nice shower.

We orderd grilled fish, we though it would come like a normal open filled fish but it did not, as shown in pictures, it was in a stew, and i think it was boiled in it, not even grilled. Nonetheless, it was good.

Fried fish cubes were decent however too much oil absorbs in them.

Fried shrimp were served with the shell Wich made it annoyingly hard to peel them, on-top of that they were relatively greasy. However, They did taste good. I was advised The rice in the middle was not good at all. As shown in picture. OverallWouldn’t order again

Fried fish balls were not good at all in my opinion. Very strong fish flavour, mushy texture, just thinking about it gives me the heeby jeebys. Nonono

Fries were good, white rice is, well, white rice is white rice, you cant mess that up.

All in all, service was good, gentlemen took care of you, and explained everything. Seating is beautiful, service speed was average. And food was OK. For the price, as it was relatively expensive, i would prob not come back...

This beach bar has absolutely lovely décor. I not only liked the look of the restaurant, I really enjoyed the food too! It’s a beach bar, so the menu is pretty similar to what you’d find at most Brazilian beach bars. We had the crab which was perfectly seasoned. We also had the shrimp stew (ensopado), which really was not like any other I’ve eaten here in Brazil—very, very tasty! They also make a very good caipirinha, but what I liked most was the cachaça made in Maranhão (Vale do Riachão). While in town, you are going to try the local dish: cuxá. It’s a parsley-based “sauce” made with dry shrimp and is very tasty. Well the cuxá here is excellent, so it’s a good place to try it if you haven’t done so on your stay...

Would not recommend. We had the shrimp and chicken, and it was by far the worst choice of our entire trip. The rice, served with questionable, clumped shrimp still in their shells, drenched in grease, tasted like shrimp intestines.
