Bar do Luiz — Restaurant in Região Geográfica Imediata de Salvador

What a great find, we were early for check in to our accommodation, so searched for a bar to celebrate my hubby's birthday and grab some lunch while we waited. We arrived at just before midday, by 1230 we knew it was worth eating there as the tables filled and the atmosphere grew more and more friendly. Simson was amazing, as we're all the staff including the owner (I think) who made a point to welcome us when he arrived. Simson though stood outside, from tolerating my poor Portuguese to recommending a great dish.We had the Mistao (perfect for 2 people) which was so tasty, the steak was succulent as was the chicken, and the sausage was to die for. All served with traditional rice, salsa, fried beans and farofa. We had 3 large beers and including tips spent less than £22 ($US30) overall which was £11 each. We're in Costa Azul for 18 nights, Simson and the friendly team there are definitely going to be our go-to.
