Subte Vegan Food — Restaurant in Região Imediata de São Paulo

It’s a cute outdoor café with covered seating, so it stays nice and cool even in hot weather. It was a bit hard to find at first because there’s only a small sign outside Praça das Artes, but the café is actually located inside the building. I’d recommend anyone looking to dine here to look for Praça das Artes — the café is right by the entrance! I ordered the pesto penne with house-made mushroom sauce and a lemonade. They had both Portuguese and English menus, as well as waiters who spoke fluent English. The food was absolutely decadent, and you could tell the sauce was made in-house. They also served oil and a spicy pepper sauce on the side. I absolutely loved the combination of the earthy pesto and the spicy sauce. There was a label on the sauce indicating it was made fresh that day, and you could really taste the freshness of the peppers. The lemonade was refreshing and not overly sweet. The food has an amazing presentation - super beautiful! It's really well served and the price is very friendly. Everything is vegan and there are lots of greens in the dishes. The restaurant exudes Augusta vibes even though it's at República! A true hidden gem in the city center!

The only downsides are the location (that is almost a treasure hunt indeed) and the fact they use plastic wrappings for the silverware. If they could only solve those small details it would be 10/10.

Muito bem localizado, ele fica na Praça das Artes, ao lado do Teatro Municipal.

O cardápio é bem completo, com opções que vão desde almoços com prato do dia — como a deliciosa feijoada vegana (servida às quartas e sábados) — até massas e pratos crudívoros, como o espaguete de abobrinha ao pesto ou ao funghi. E o melhor: existe a opção de pratos reduzidos por R$27, ideal para quem quer algo mais leve ou gastar menos.

Para beber, há sucos frescos e bebidas autorais, como Switchel e Mate da casa. E, para acompanhar o café, o Subte oferece sobremesas saudáveis e salgados saborosos — meus favoritos são o pão de queijo vegano e a coxinha de shimeji.

Outro grande diferencial é a linha própria de comidas congeladas, feita com receitas exclusivas e ingredientes frescos, perfeita para quem busca praticidade no dia a dia.
