Here at Café François you are welcome by a French atmosphere, since the owner who runs this business is French and speaks French with you, if you like. The staff is friendly and willing to help. And this Cafè was awarded 3 years in a row as the best Cafè in the whole state of Santa Catarina.

The place itself is like a delicatessen in which in one part you have the fresh cheese, ham, and the like, and in the other you have the sweet dishes like all sorts of fancy tarts and pastries.

We had a Pain au Chocolat (Croissant) also called Chocolatine, then another croissant filled with lemon cream, and another one was a Pastry with Raisins and Almond.

For the drinks we had a Black Cafè, a quite strong one, a hot chocolate, a quite thick one, and a Cappuccino with Cream. All of the pastries and the drinks we had were very tasty and fancy when it comes to the looks, this decorative style of arranging cakes and tarts French like to do.

The bread and pasteries are really good here... The coffee is on point aswell ... But the service is seriously lacking, its a seriously un organised .... I almost walked out. There are like 5 waiters for a very small coffee shop it was not even half full and it took them 10-15 mins just to notice us and three other clients by the counter ( whom arrived after us and were also looking very upset about the wait ) ... You order at the counter ... And there is just nobody there ... The waiters don't even try to look in your directions .... They either need a better manager or better waiters who are better trained ... Cause the food is not cheap but the...

Eu sou freguesa por uns 5 anos já. Entendo que tudo mudou com a pandemia mas devo dizer que a qualidade de algumas coisas caiu muito. O atendimento foi ótimo e atencioso, como sempre. O provençal de gruyere com tomate ficou menor, mais massa nas bordas vazias queimadas e mais seco. Muito pouca mostarda. O sabor mudou muito. O que mais me chamou a atenção foram os doces. Eu comprei vários doces hoje para viagem e o de massa folhada com morango estava tão seco que a parte de cima estava completamente solta. A doceira tinha acabado de trazer fresco. Mal tinha creme no que comprei. O que aconteceu com o creme? O que é um folheado sem creme? Seco. Nunca foi assim. Entendo que houve cortes em despesas mas a qualidade caiu muito. É uma pena mas acho que vocês devem saber. Foi uma experiência bem diferente das anteriores que por sinal foram muitas. Isso não quer dizer que tudo está diferente mas no meu caso, meus favoritos estão todos notavelmente menores e mais magros. Eu li várias outras reviews. Eu já experimentei muito do que vocês servem e a qualidade mudou sim. Eu tenho meus doces favoritos e salgados e não tem como não notar a diferença. Espero que voltem a servir as coisas como costumavam ser. Continuo indicando o Café como um dos melhores na região. Ainda vou visitar o novo Francois no Santa Monica. Mais perto de minha residência e bem conveniente. Uma sugestão de quem presta atenção em limpeza. Sentamos ao lado das janelas. A parte de baixo, abaixo das mesas, os vidros estão muito sujos. É desagradável comer e ver sujeira na volta. A lateral do café está precisando de mais atenção .
