I came here with my husband and two toddler. 1/ the service was excellent: friendly, quick and staff were smiling! 2/ the toilets are very clean and there is a table for changing babies. 3/ the location in a garden surrounding was beautiful. 4/ the day we visiting there was an excellent band playing. 5/ I had the ARROZ CON MARISCOS. The seafood part was nice but the rice I didn’t like at all. The rice favour was very bland. A Peruvian acquaintance brought us here and said this was a good choice but I didn’t like it and I thought it was very expensive for the amount of seafood you actually get. Disappointing
My husband had LOMO SALTADO which was very tasty, and came with a side of white rice and green pea. The children even over this so they ate this!
I also had CEBICHE CLASICO this was amazing! The flavour of the seasoning was wonderful and as was the tenderness and taste of the fish!
The CHANCHO was super tasty, we could have eaten a million of these alone lol
The Tacos were fantastic!
LIMONADA Y COCO was a delicious drink- I removed the tons of ice in it. It was very delicious and refreshing!
PISCO SOUR everyone has to try- it’s super delicious here...
Read moreGreat Peruvian option in São Paulo. I lived a few years in Perú and deeply fell in love with its food. So, it’s like ritual for me to try Peruvian food when available.
Frankly, I didn’t expect much considering it’s not a port city and the lemon didn’t taste same as in Lima.
This place Amazo, however, was a pleasant surprise for me. The kitchen was run by 100% peruanos and the food was close enough to its original. The restaurant was pretty big and only opened outside terrace for the day. Live band was playing music and the atmosphere couldn’t be better.
I was told the neighborhood wasn’t a fancy one but couldn’t think of anything bad only with this lovely restaurant.
I tried ceviche, tiradito, pulpo al olivo(grilled octopus with olive sauce), vieiras, arroz norteño and fideo. Almost all of them were great.
The drinks options were limited, however. They had the Pisco sour but not chilcano. The Cusqueña beers, they only had dorada and malta. (Larger and wheetbeer)
Still, overall, I loved the place and would recommend this place to my friends in São Paulo.

Read moreMost memorable, distinctive, sensational meal we have had in a while, and we are career fine dining professionals. We’re in Sampa to see the Philadelphia Eagles, and this lovely restaurant is near our hotel, in the toney, sophisticated Higienopolis neighborhood. Every dish was bespoke, so it is hard to single any out, but I have to recognize the Carpaccio of Langostinos. Besides the addictive taste, the creativity was second to none. Service, atmosphere, cocktails all hit the mark perfectly. At the end of our meal our wonderful server, whose name I wish I learned, recommended the off-menu Cupuaçu liqueur, made from Amazonian fruit. As a sommelier by trade, it’s rare that someone introduces me to something that I have never even heard of. That’s really hard to find and incredibly special. The chef stopped out to visit. Everyone we encountered was on their game. To really put it over the top, if you’re driving, as some of our guests were, there is easy parking next door at the...
