I recommend Magnolia to the guests of the hotel of the same name, because it is just the next door, and also to all willing to have traditional Bulgarian specialties. Here you will not have unpleasant surprises in the menu, everything is delicious and you will eat well.

We came across this place from a locals recommendation. We were looking for authentic Bulgarian food. The entrance is up the alley and not that clearly signed but easy enough to find. The menu is extensive and also in English. We chose dishes that were not on the usual restaurant menus. They were three meats in a vegetable stew, a potato and bacon casserole, fresh vegetables on the side with bread and fried cheese.

The service was efficient and fast, the food looked and tastes fresh. The flavours were very good as was the overall experience.

We had 250ml of local wine each. The total bill came to about 25 euros!
