Ресторант "Мегдана" — Restaurant in Plovdiv

I decided to try this restaurant based on a recommendation from my voice assistant when I inquired about a good place with local Bulgarian cuisine. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to my expectations. The meal I had hoped to enjoy wasn't even on the menu, and the available choices were rather mediocre. I ordered the veal tongue in butter and the chops salad, but neither dish left a lasting impression. Frankly, neither is something I would consider ordering again or recommending to others. It seems that relying on Bixby's restaurant suggestions may not be the most reliable approach. Perhaps this isn't a review for the restaurant itself but rather a testament to the limitations of voice assistant...

На 11ти ноември, 2016г. отпразнувахме с голяма група приятели рожденият ден на съпругата ми в ресторант "Мегдана". Първоначално не бяхме решили на кое заведение да се спрем, тъй като по принцип от дълги години живеем в Канада. За това си набелязахме няколко различни заведения, които да посетим предварително, за да придобием някаква представа. Персонала на ресторант "Мегдана" ни посрещна изключителна топло и ни предостави подробна информация, отговаряйки на всички наши въпроси. Това ни помогна да направим нашият избор, за който не съжаляваме. С усилията на управителката Албена и сервитьорът Анатоли (както и на останалият персонал на заведението) нашият празник се превърна в едно незабравимо преживяване. Обстановката в заведението беше уютна, храната беше в изобилие и много вкусна, обслужването беше на високо ниво, програмата беше хубава, музиката задоволи всякакви предпочитания (радваме се, че нямаше чалга) и танцувахме през цялата вечер. С удоволствие ще посетим заведението отново, когато сме в Пловдив. Горещо го препоръчвам на всички.

On November 11th, 2016 we celebrated my wife's birthday with lots of friends in the restaurant "Megdana". Initially we didn't know which restaurant to choose, because we used to leave in Canada. That is why we decided to visit a few different restaurants in advance to get an idea. The team of the restaurant "Megdana" made us feel welcomed and provided us with all needed information, responding to all our questions. This helped us to make our decision and we didn't regret it. With the efforts of the manager Albena and the waiter Anatoli (as well as the efforts of the whole team's members), our celebration turned out to become an unforgettable experience. The interior of the restaurant was cozy, the food was in abundance and very tasty, the service was top of the line, the entertainment was good, the music satisfied everybody's taste and we danced all night long. We will visit the restaurant next time when we are in Plovdiv again. We highly recommend it...

We came here for dinner and had the Caesar salad, grilled fish with vegetables, chicken fillet, and garlic bread. Every dish was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented! We sat outside in a lovely rose garden, which made the experience even more special. The only downside was that the dance show only takes place on weekends. Their website simply says, “The Dance Show program starts at 9 PM,” without mentioning that there’s no show during the week. Still, the food was so amazing that I’d definitely come back if I visit Plovdiv again—hopefully on a weekend next time so I can enjoy...
