My new review: My opinion has changed over the last several months. Firstly, I've co.e back several times because every vietnemese restaurant is closed on Sundays except this one. I don't like cooking on weekends because I cook during the week days. What I've come to learn about Tony' s is that the family run business works hard to keep it running 365 days a year while keeping prices the most competitively priced vietnemese restaurant in Airdrie. This means they have to utilize all of their family members to help out. The trade off is you end up with sub par service at certain times....typically Sunday afternoons.
When I say subpar what as it relates to courteous and friendly. The children have to work and help and they are very shy. The food is still great and served quickly. I think its only reasonable to give this hard working family restaurant a little grace ....they are inexpensive....always open, and offers amazing value...lots of tasty food for the money. Now one negative is the bubble tea...at least the lychee and pina colada ones I've had were very icy and not very smooth or creamy...i have no idea why...but I think I will ask them next time.
My old review: FOOD IS AVERAGE....SERVICE IS EXTREMELY POOR!. Great portion sizes. Modern decor...huge space but too dark, reasonable prices, service is not good, EVER There are young children working there who haven't been taught how to treat customers right! No one comes by to see how your doing. They rarely clean...even though they are not busy and just standing around. I feel like they don't care about me as a customer. Their hours of operation are better than most. Althought not accurate. They are not open until 9:30 on weekdays. If you care about service then don't come here. If you want some food and couldn't care less about service ...then...
Read moreI had to give one star as there is not a zero rating. Terrible customer service, seeing as we had phoned twice just to order our food as no one answered the phone and then the order took almost an hour to be delivered. Once it arrived, half the order was missing. After calling twice again and speaking to someone their response was we will call the driver. TWENTY MINUTES later still waiting without the other half of food or a response from the restaurant. We called again had to call twice until someone answered. They told us the food is on the way. No real apologies so They offered me to speak to the manager. She told me it was the delivery guys fault and it was coming. I told her that this is terrible customer service - she said nothing. So I asked her for my money back. She agreed and said the delivery guy will bring it. Now it's been FORTY minutes and waiting from that call in which I haven't received the food or my money back, or a call back from the restaurant. To top it off I over paid to what I actually received in accordance to their website menu. Revised...food finally came after FIFTY FIVE minutes from the last call. No refund given and it was the wrong order, I think it is someone else's order. WOW! In total from the original call it took 2 hrs and 15 minutes for our food which is still incorrect to arrive. The people in my family who never ate had to eat something different and already ate when the wrong food arrived as it took so long. Revised v2...delivery company came back, gave us our refund and took the blame saying it was their fault. The food we did get in this...

I've been a loyal customer since this restaurant opened in Airdrie. I would rave to others that the portions were bigger than other Vietnamese restaurants and just an overall great menu to select from.
Yesterday we ordered dinner for delivery. The food came 45 minutes after. When I opened container I discovered that the fish sauce and the hoisin sauces were diluted and watery. It seemed like the restaurant was cutting back on condiments to cut costs. I get that times are tough but there are things to cut down on and things you cannot compromise, especially when it affects flavor. It would be like diluting ketchup with water to serve with French fries. This is not acceptable and soon enough people will start looking elsewhere to go for dinner. I also noticed portion has decreased in the beef salad rolls: the beef portion was cut back and extra vermicelli noodles were added to make it look bigger. I was very disappointed with the food. If this trend continues at the restaurant you will lose valuable regular customers who dine in or call in for delivery...
