Even though we live in Camrose, we regularly travel to Killam just to dine at A-1 Restaurant. The food is consistently delicious and the ingredients are really fresh and of the highest quality. The service is exceptional and we've never had to wait long for our meals. The servings are more than generous and we always have leftovers to take home. The prices are reasonable and you get good value for your money. You can't beat the deal of $3.50 for the Wonton Soup Special. The restaurant, as well as the washrooms, is very clean. We had been wanting to go here for sometime. Recommended by others we went on the weekend. Unsure we ordered so much food only to be surprised at the large portions! The fried rice was excellent. The salt and pepper chicken amazing! With a hint of spicy it’s very authentic.

Massive chicken balls! And so tasty soup! Was a little disappointed with the almond chicken that came with more sweet and sour sauce but that’s not going to stop us from going back!

Beef & Broccoli was cooked perfectly! Broccoli still a little crisp plus tender tasty beef. Deep fried shrimp was to die for and all portions were on the larger side. Spring roll pastry was flaky, so fresh and made to perfection! Last, the ginger beef was so tender it was a delightful change from other restaurants.
