Aria Restaurant & Lounge — Restaurant in Alberta

We have been coming here fairly regularly for the past couple years, it has a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere, we never feel rushed to leave after enjoying our meal. As with most restaurants they have suffered at times with inconsistent front of house . The kitchen has been consistent, the food has been good. The issue isn’t the quality or quantity of the food , it is that in over two years the menu has not changed, we have literally eaten the menu at least once, we have been going to other restaurants just to increase the variety. The kitchen has proven to be able to be consistent so let them flex their culinary skills and change up the menu. Started going here at the recommendation of one of the chef's wife as I had not heard of it before. Food is so, so good! But the last couple of times, service was almost non existent. Twice we sat and waited for 20 minutes for service, none. Two ladies waited the same amount of time for someone to come out so they could pay their bill. No one. Maybe hire one more person if one is unable to be available at all times. Too bad. We left with no service, again. We were working in Vermilion and surrounding area, when we decided to get some supper. It was after 8pm and almost everything was close, except this place. We ordered fish & chips and my fish tasted like rubber and it was not hot in the middle. So we asked to have them take it back and we ordered the pot roast bowl, which was pretty good. The restaurant manager was none too friendly and was trying to tell us that the fish was fine. We disagreed and we were paying for it. Having this combative manager didn't help much.
