Long overdue rave to Emily, Taylor and rest of the crew at the Red Brick. I am deeply sorry it has taken me this long to do you the minimal courtesy of telling you how much I appreciate what you do for my family. We were fans of the Red Brick even before covid, but the lockdowns etc took things to a whole different level. Having a family member with disability, it was especially tough to explain to him what was happening and when he might expect to see his aide and friends again, in those early days. But as soon as Red Brick was back offering takeaway service, it became his lighthouse, and getting his coffee and hanging out even briefly was the highlight of his day. Emily and her staff have gone to extraordinary lengths to make his experience as warm and welcoming and supportive as possible. Doing the math we must be at well over a thousand visits now, and nothing has changed. It’s still the highlight of his day. But I get to come too, and meet family and friends and neighbours and colleagues (and folks I don’t know). We talk about the Oilers and the weather and a lot of football and music for church and beef research. I work for an organization based in Saskatoon but the Chief Operations Officer has regular face-to-face meetings with me- at the Red Brick. He really likes the lattes. But it occurs to me that the mark of a really special place isn’t the good times shared there, but the tough ones. Raising a glass with a family who lost their matriarch. Grieving the declining health of someone’s partner. It’s where we go. So thanks, Emily and all your wonderful staff. You guys are the best. You light up my...
Read moreI heard so much about this place and finally got a chance to try it out. First, the place is nice but has a bad smell when you walk in (I think from the essential oils they sell or something). Customer service is terrible, we didn't even get a "Hi". I don't even get treated like that waking into Timmy's. Being a local place and what I've heard, I honestly thought I would get at least a "Hi how are you". As for what the drinks we ordered, Hot chocolate and Vanilla Ice Latte, they were both really good. The coffee they use is...
Read moreThis is very nice little shop, I went in and ordered a ham and Swiss it tasted amazing. I also got a Carmel frapp which tastes just like one I used to get a long time ago, that I loved. The owner was very friendly and helped me decide what I wanted. Only $13 for the sandwich and frapp which nowadays is a great price for lunch. I’m full and very happy I went in to check out this quaint...
