I love going to Edo Japan because they offer fair prices and delicious food. However, at this particular location, I felt they didn’t follow proper customer service standards. As soon as I arrived and placed my order, the lady asked me, “White rice?” I found that question confusing—Japanese meals typically come with white rice by default. A clearer way to ask would be, “White rice or brown rice?” My wife didn’t understand the question either, and others around us seemed just as puzzled. Another issue: the man behind the counter threw the entire plate onto the serving area. I found that very disrespectful, especially in front of customers. I usually don’t return to places that treat guests this way. The ramen soup was horrible, the noodles were flavourless and overcooked, the base was water with vegetables in it. It was the worst ramen I have ever ate. I don’t recommend this location, not because of the food, but because of the poor service. One last tip for the staff: please smile. Don’t act like you hate your job. It makes a big difference.

Amazing! I got the shrimp udon bowl and I got like 12 shrimp in it for $10.75. I've never had a place be so generous with their shrimp; you normally get like 5 shrimp in something like that. It was actually the first time I wish they added a bit more noodles lol. And it was really tasty! We got a dynamite roll too and it was very good.

Sharif and pargat were amazing, sharif was very welcoming from the moment I walked in with my friend Nate. You took care of us and our order with such care and I couldn’t be more pleased, we drove in from Edmonton very hungry and left happy with our orders! Thanks again.

Typical edo food. But here's why the bad review... You cant order online for pickup, and when you try to phone in an order ahead so it's convenient and ready when you get there, the staff refuse to answer the phone and were even courteous enough to pick up the phone and hang up on me without so much as a greeting.

Perhaps these people don't want their job? In times like these (covid) when they can be so easily replaced by someone who wants to do what they're hired to do.

So, I drove all the way from out of town to place my order, waited roughly 15minutes, was charged extra for a noodle substitution and get this they got it wrong and failed to sub the noodles.

Quite dissatisfied

10 months later and surprised to discover the place is worse than before. We placed an online order( it worked this time), and when we got it home, we discovered something was wrong with the order. I phoned the restaurant the phone was answered like I had phoned a friend...aka "hello" no business name or staff name. I immediately requested the manager. I was put on the phone with who claimed to be the manager. When I told him food items were missing from my order, he acted like I was lying and said he was going to check with his staff. To which I replied, he could check all he wanted the food item is missing. I tried to explain that my family is a regular customer, that we come there all the time (despite the terrible customer service). I was immediately hung up on by the "manager". I intend to escalate this with the head office. I do not recommend this establishment unless you double check what you order...

Went into order, ordered the sunday family special, we said we wanted them all beef and noodles. He then went through each meal and kept saying with rice and we said no no with noodles please, then he asked us if we didnt want veggies, witch we have no idea where that question came from. We sat down with our 4 month old who was starting to get fussy, and then we went up to grab our food and everything was made with rice, we noticed this and mentioned that we had ordered noodles for all the meals. The counter guy then proceeded to argue with us telling us we ordered rice, and then proceeded to refuse to fix the mistake and tell us there was nothing he could do for us because he had "more customers" as there was one other person in the resturaunt. He then turned around and started ignoring us. We then requested a refund, witch he then refused to do as well. And then we asked to speak to a manager, so he called the manager and took off into the back and wouldnt let us speak with the manager or even bear the conversation. He then came back up from took the food back gave us cash back and then continued to say we were wrong..

We would ha e been fine to have just had our food remade or even just switched over onto noodles. Coming from someone who's worked in the cooking industry as a sous chef my whole adulthood... the ignorance and blanitent disrespect was appalling. Even the other worker looked disgusted with the way he...

When I went up to the counter to place, my order the first thing I said was that I didn’t want cold sushi from the fridge. I said I want it to be made fresh because I don’t like cold sushi from the fridge. And I ordered the special and asked if I could have noodle instead of rice, and he said yes. When I went to pay, there was an additional one dollar fee and I said what is this for and he said that is for the noodle instead of the rice. A whole lot, more money to make noodles than it does to make rice. I was upset because I hadn’t noticed that additional fee he would not have told me that. Then, on top of it after I paid when I got my meal, the sushi was cold and dried out from being in the fridge. I was ready to throw it at him. When I asked him about it, he said they have regulations, and that it Has to be in the fridge. I said it Has to be in the fridge if you don’t make it fresh and I specifically asked you to not serve me sushi that had been in the fridge. He didn’t offer to remake it, or give me anything different. I will never ever eat at Edo from Olds...
