JD's Restaurant & Pizza — Restaurant in Alberta

Went there for the first time as we just moved to the area. My wife, myself, my 19 year old and another 19 year old. We went to the restaurant at 7:10pm to order dinner. The waitress asked if the kids were 18 and we said yes but one of them doesn’t have their ID. She said, oh that’s fine go to the bar and she led us to the bar through the restaurant. She had said the AC wasn’t working in the restaurant and it was cooler in the bar. The first thing the younger waitress said is I need ID from the younger adults just to sit in there. They weren’t drinking. So she refused to serve us understandably. But the other waitress should have known that we couldn’t be in there. It felt like she didn’t want to serve us because it was close to closing time. Probably won’t go back. UPDATE::The owner reached out and asked to give their establishment a second chance. Food was good. Service tonight was the worst I’ve ever had at any establishment. The waitress had a terrible attitude and was rude. We understand everyone has their bad days, but this was ridiculous. Requests such as more plates for sharing pizza and chicken was apparently unreasonable, asking for cutlery and ketchup for other dishes was evidently painful for her. When we replied to her question of “ Am I missing anything ?” with what dishes were missing, we received a terrible attitude. Really made the experience unwelcoming.

I have been working out of Didsbury for a few years now and I can not bring myself to eat anywhere else in town after stopping here!
