Jimmy's Drive Inn — Restaurant in Alberta

Visiting mom and pop burger joints is one of my cheap thrills. The decor is what one expects from an independent. Obviously, the main point is the food. I increased my rating because of the fries. I appreciate the effort it takes to make decent homemade fries. They weren't perfect fries, but they were above par. I I had just the burger, I would have probably rated the place a three stars, because the burger was, what I consider, an average burger. Not much in the way of high notes and not much in the way of low notes. It wasn't juicy or unctuous, but it wasn't bland or dry, either. The feeling I got when I ate it was one of mediocrity. So..... atmosphere was worn down, but that's fairly insignificant. Plus was the fries....

Edit - I have noticed that everytime we get food from Jimmy's it seems to be a different price. It's not from the menu prices changing - one day a few items will come to $40, and the next time we order the same items it will come to $60. So not only are they inconsistent with prices, their prices are also insane! The last time we ordered from Jimmy's, we ordered three meals (burger and side for each), and one milk shake. It came to $100. I just can't justify spending that kind of money for fast food.
