Had the worst ramen (and maybe even worst meal) of my life here. Our ramen noodles came all CHOPPED UP and they were softer than wet bread. Was amazed. Sent it back to the kitchen and got back the same noodles because apparently the chef “took the noodles from the bottom of the pile”. Honestly can’t believe any self respecting chef would dare to serve this, but the server told us that they were very understaffed today because it’s very busy today and they only managed to get the head chef back here on his day off. Still though! The broth was too salty and the bamboo shoots were too salty to even eat. The charsiu was nice but not really the Japanese type. The corn was probably used to boil the soup first bc it was soft and tasteless. And our eggs were peeled so badly and was so jagged it’s really questionable whether a toddler peeled it. Plus, it wasn’t seasoned on the outside like an ajitama should be. Literally the most appalling thing I’ve ever eaten I can’t even say how shocked I am lol. And... our sushi’s rice was mushy but honestly after the ramen, that was the best thing already. The server we had was really nice though and extremely apologetic even though it wasn’t her fault. We got 2 complementary hot drink coupons from her, but please! Never come here!! Our meal cost 29$ in total so it’s not like it...

Fresh, tasty sushi. 🍣 But, ramen 🍜 is a miss. Not enough broth. Egg is an extra charge💰 and was served cold – also a bit too runny. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable. Hostess and our waitress were very gracious, but other staff were short-tempered when we asked about our Louise Plus Card discount. Note: Hostess said it would be applied. When the bill came, the discount didn’t show on the receipt. So we asked about it and were told by another staffer they don’t offer the discount. This turned out to be misleading/wrong. The email receipt you receive with the Plus Card does show the correct amount with the...

A very surprising sushi place. A very cozy restaurant in the main chalet where this restaurant takes over one side and on the other side is more pub like. The california rolls were made with real crab...a first for a person like me who has had sushi throughout their life in multiple cities. The fish is fresh and tasted fresh. Apparently the fish gets shipped here 3 times weekly from vancouver. Service here is friendly and very quick. Portions are on the smaller side but probably better to not eat so much while skiing. Pricing is average. Would still recommend coming here for something different than...

Honestly, Kuna Yama was such a vibe. The place feels modern and cozy, and the food? So good. I had sushi that was super fresh, beautifully plated, and just hit the spot. You can tell they put care into every little detail, from how the food looks to how it tastes. It’s the kind of spot where you want to take your time—chill atmosphere, great service, and everything just flows. Definitely one of those places you don’t expect to find in the middle of the mountains, but you’re so glad you did. If you’re ever in Banff and want something a little more refined but still laid-back, this is it.
