McDonald’s is my guilty pleasure. I go in expecting an average experience—get my food, enjoy my moment of shame, and move on. But today? Today was different. The manager was actually happy (??), and the staff seemed to genuinely like him. Nobody was ignoring customers to force them onto the kiosks—they actually took my order like it was 1995! (Remember when Happy Meals came with the best toys?) They even gave me a buzzer so I could sit down like a civilized human instead of hovering awkwardly by the counter. No tip jar, no sneaky “Would you like to add a tip?” on the machine. Just good service because… they wanted to? Wild! The whole place was clean, everyone seemed happy to be there, and my food was great as always. The only hiccup? I was distracted and ordered the wrong drink—but even that turned out great. Whoever runs this place, keep doing what you’re doing. And other owners, take note!

I work nearby so I go here often for lunch breaks and 4 separate times I have spent my entire 30 minute lunch break in the drive thru. Countless times I’ve spent a solid 15 minutes in there. They mess up the order often. Don’t EVER order a sweet chili junior chicken because you will get what looks like one of them held up the bun and someone else baseball pitched the food at the bun from the other side of the room and then they threw it into the paper like a touch down. Sauce absolutely everywhere, including the outside of the wrapper so it gets all over everything else. The one I took a picture of today is the best one I’ve ever gotten.

Fast food. Psych! Yet you send alot of time in a reserved stall for the drive though. A simple burger and fires and they made you go to the reserved stall. Its not like I ordered over $20 of food. And it's not like it's busy at 2 in the afternoon. Very shi*Ty drive though. It's not fast at all. And they have a 3 window for reserved parking, so if you gotta go to the reserved parking, you gotta squeeze by a car and a fence unless you want to get some curb rash.

They are overcharging us . They are the only restaurant that has raised their price for 20 nuggets from $10.49 to almost $14. I never liked this restaurant. I've never had an order come out of there that was made properly. So needless to say I will not be eating here at all anymore. But they are all the same in Okotoks so I will not be eating at McDonald's in Okotoks anymore. If you look at the prices in Calgary or Edmonton or pretty much anywhere else in Alberta the price is still $10.49 and I can only imagine how many other countless things they overcharged us on. I have noticed this at a lot of places in Okotoks and I don't know why they do it to us. Including dairyqueen and the 7-Eleven gas bar on the road going into downtown Okotoks. I can only assume that they feel like we have more money out here and most likely don't even look at our receipts. All I do know is that they feel they can get more out of us for the same product and that is unfair. I'm not saying we are richer than the rest of Alberta but if we were then it would be ours to keep and they have no right to it. Just because someone has more doesn't mean you need to take more. The fact that they have not learned this lesson in itself tells me that it was not a place that I should do business with and it also tells me that I should not support this business in any way otherwise I'm supporting that practice. I don't believe bullying or taking advantage of people in anyways good. You work you get paid you can't charge someone more money because they're black or because they're Chinese so why would you charge them more because they have more. You could say the answer is obvious but does that make it right? Just one man's opinion but it's a...

My recent visit to this McDonald's location was nothing short of a disaster, and it has had dire consequences that I never could have anticipated. I ordered my beloved McDouble, a simple yet classic burger that has always brought me comfort and joy over the years.

To my utter shock, what I received was an abomination - a McDouble with not two, but three beef patties crammed between its buns. Little did I know that this burger would become the catalyst for the destruction of my 20-year marriage.

As I took my first bite, I realized that my once-beloved McDouble had transformed into a monstrous culinary creation. The overwhelming meatiness, the messiness of it all, it was simply too much to handle. My wife, who had always stood by my side, couldn't bear to watch as I struggled to consume this grotesque burger.

That fateful evening, we engaged in a heated argument like never before. It was as if the extra beef patty had symbolized the excesses in our relationship, pushing us to confront long-buried issues. The argument escalated, and what followed was the shattering of a 20-year bond that I had held dear.

So, while this McDonald's location may pride itself on innovation and experimentation, I implore them to consider the consequences of their actions. Sometimes, adding one more patty to a burger isn't just a culinary choice; it's a life-altering decision.

In conclusion, I must sadly give this McDonald's location a single star, not for the quality of their food, but for the unexpected turmoil it wrought...
