The Cherry on Top Bakery and Koffie Shop — Restaurant in Alberta

I was here a few days ago, 5 stars to the pistachio latte, it was actually really good and very aesthetic but I’m going to have to subtract 3 stars for the breakfast crepe I ordered. It’s very common for restaurants to be stingy but this one took it up a notch. I ordered a breakfast crepe which comes with bacon, egg, and cheese. Me being lactose intolerant I said no cheese and added vegetables instead which was a 1.30 (around that) up charge. WELL. When I got the crepe there were only tiny pieces of bacon which wouldn’t even add up to one strip of bacon, the vegetables were sprinkled on the egg I could count all of them, 12 pieces of pea sized vegetables. And it was so bland I went up to go ask for hot sauce, the girl at the counter didn’t pay me any attention so I made do with a pack of ketchup and sprinkled black pepper over it. Overpriced, no...

We love the Cherry on Top, have been coming here for years. The food is delicious, almost all made fresh in house and/or sourced locally. This is the only place I've ever witnessed my hubby eat the crusts of his bread, haha, the bread is that good! They also have several gluten-free options, all of them delicious. The staff are lovely, always friendly, and the shop is cute and cozy, worth sitting in to eat. Because everything is made fresh and prepared to order, it's not super fast like a drive-through, so if you're taking your prepared food order to go be prepared to wait for about 10 minutes, 15 if they are busy. My husband and I visited this bakery while visiting Crowsnest Pass, because it’s so highly rated! The selection of baked goods was smaller than I expected, but the peanut butter marshmallow squares we bought were perfect and the iced coffee and iced tea were great! The highlight, though, was the excellent customer service. We stopped by twice during our vacation and both times the staff were very welcoming, friendly, and seemed genuinely happy to serve us.
