Well, I feel compelled to respond to a previous reviews response by the owners from 2 weeks ago. You'll see it on here. Firstly, I'm Irish born and raised. The reviewer, my husband lived in Ireland for a number of years. The response by the owner is nothing short of insulting. Suggesting that we had no idea what an Irish pub should look like. I can assure you, your place wasn't it. The food, service, decor, ambiance and 'Craic' were terrible. Arguing a review with a disclaimer that you worked at Guinness is patently ridiculous. Even the busted refrigerator at the front on the patio didn't add to the charm, unless the look you were going for was a bomb site on the falls road circa 1960. I would imagine as a publican you wouldn't need a crystal ball to recognize that Saturday just before lunch might be one of the busiest times of the week for an Ulster fry? But whatever, you run it how you like. I'll be sure to share your thoughts with the owners of Twin Cities Saloon in Longview as you clearly allude to the fact that this establishment may be more 'low brow' and much more suitable for us. You've shown a superb example of customer engagement and feedback that I'm sure you'll be busy for many years to come. I also assume that a review by a customer is only relevant to the number of reviews left by a customer on Google reviews. I suppose my final point would be that in trying to develop it into something that isn't a North American idea of what it should be, I would refer you to the previous review insofar as drinking in an Irish pub, or a pub as I like to call them at home should be warm and inviting, like drinking in some friends lounge, not their garage. Have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDecided to go to the Irish Pub to meet some friends from Calgary for a beer or two after a round of golf. NEVER AGAIN ! Itās a Typical cool May long weekend here in Turner Valley. Cool and rainy. They have NO temperature controls in that establishment . We were four ppl at a table and behind us were another table of four. I believe one of the servers opened up the front door. ( she must of been warm ) we werenāt, which immediately brought in a very cool breeze up our backs. My husband stands up and closes the door. Another diner ( who is sitting far away from the door opens it up). The table behind us (closer to the door ) gets up and closes the door. The Long and the short of it is they have no temperature control. They donāt care about the diners comfort. We would of stayed for another drink , had it not been so cool where WE were sitting. As I mentioned to the owner, who rudely said to me, just leave, it gets hot in here. We left alright! He walked us out the door. We will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHad high hopes. Soon dashed. Decor and atmosphere were terrible, painting some walls green and sticking up some Irish themed posters and flags does not constitute an, or contribute to an Irish Pub, in fact, it was as far away from an Irish Pub as you could possibly get. More like someoneās garage who was having a āthemeā night. Ulster fry - no potato bread available. Soda bread hard and dry. Sausages and eggs were ok but the black pudding was cold. Not good. Pop was flat (asked for new one but still flat). Cutlery was brought out after the plates of food. Sat looking at warm food going cold with no means to eat it. The final straw was the long hair embedded in the food. Canāt have been mine, I donāt have any and it was buried under the food. Terrible experience and wouldnāt recommend. Saw a couple get up and walk out without...
