Shooters Roadhouse — Restaurant in Amherstburg

Wow… has been around forever but had never caught my eye. Went in for a snack with my husband yesterday for something different… we were pleasantly surprised the waitress was fast and friendly. The quesadillas came out hot and we’re very tasty and the sliders (3 - hamburger onion and jalapeño) were DEEEELICIOUS!!! Wine was not ridiculously priced as most restaurants and was a solid house wine, beer was cold and also reasonably priced. We enjoyed it so much we went back today for fries and nachos… hamburger, cheese, salad, tomatoes, on side jalepenos , sour cream, sliced black olives, salsa it was filling but came a little on the cold side and the salad was weird but tasted good. Though cold, it was still good AND the tortilla chips were fresh not stale like some restaurants use! All in all it was a nice place for a quick lunch. We will go back - hopefully next Wednesday and try the 2 for 1 wings!!! One tip if you sit by the windows and get cold easily, bring a sweater and a little blanket for your legs… it’s a little drafts.

Update, went in on another wings special night with my son… disappointing, wings were precooked so ended up leathery and were hot when they arrived. The order was mixed up so my son ended up with hot instead of mild. Disappointing. So I guess it’s...

So the person who works in the food industry I can understand when there’s ups and downs to a shift but what happened tonight was utter disappointment. Our waitress the first half was very distant and barely acknowledged our existence meanwhile our waiter the second half was very kind cordial and understanding props go to her. Our food took absolutely forever to get out especially disappointing since my one buddy only ordered carrot six and celery but when my food came out the bun was burnt yet the food was cold and wrong. When I talked to our waitress about it she handled it in a very professional matter explaining “ that there was only one person that was overwhelmed” well why on earth would you under staff on a Saturday night when you have a live performance. Finally the person who I believed to be the owner dude to interactions over the night was drinking the entire time instead of making sure there was any form of consistency especially with the countless other reviews. Gastric nightmare and toxic service.

When you first walk in you meet a greasy barmaid brunette ponytail glasses and a scowl on her face.

Spends her time sloping beer on her customers and eavesdropping on their conversations then gets triggered if their views aren't her narrative of the world.

The food is over priced raw uncooked and abysmal.

Special shout out to a server called tasha This self entitled young lady spent most of her time looking for Male attention has the audacity to tell her customers what she requires in a gratuity

When its explained to her a tip is consumet to the service rendered and not the her percieved value

She immediately becomes unhinged and has a meltdown.

Worse waitress ever.. So what you get at shooters is vile cuisine and toxic service

Don't say you weren't warned .Spend your custom..elsewhere
