I didn’t stay as a guest here but you can still dine at the West Coast Wilderness Lodge at the Inlets Restaurant! I did the Brunch & Play option and also the Date Night Experience! We can’t stop raving about our experience with West Coast Wilderness Lodge. If only there were more stars. Seriously, one of the best dining experiences in my life. My mind was blown away today, I can’t tell you how beautiful Egmont is. A five star review will never do our experience justice. Everything in BC is beautiful, but Egmont took the cake. Truly the most amazing travel in BC I have ever done. Just a quick 40 min ferry ride from Vancouver and just over an hour drive and you get to the most magical and awe inspiring place in BC. It’s perfect for a unique day trip away from the city. If I could give this trip 100 stars, I absolutely would!! This was hands down the BEST experience I’ve ever had in my entire life. We were met with the highest level of hospitality. A huge shout-out goes to Lucas for his exceptional care and attention…he really elevated the experience to the next level. These guys run an A+ operation! The staff are all legends and make sure to give you a great experience. You can really tell—they care about every detail and make sure you have the best dining experience possible. We knew this trip would be amazing, but everything surpassed our expectations! They did everything to make our day special and they succeeded in a big way. I don't know how to thank them for everything they did for us. Unforgettable experience that I will carry in my heart forever. I had such a flavour-packed brunch at the Inlets Restaurant! I was shocked at the view from the patio. They have the best view you ever could imagine! The fried chicken and French toast was an iconic duo. The French toast is super fluffy and oh so buttery and when combined with the crispy and juicy fried chicken, it was seriously a match made in heaven! The fried chicken French toast was glazed, golden and crisp where it counts! I loved how crispy and juicy the fried chicken was but the highlight was definitely the incredibly fluffy French toast. It was some savoury and something sweet! Creamy avocado, golden toast, and a perfectly poached egg-this was the avocado toast! This avocado toast with poached egg is the ultimate brunch featuring crispy toast, creamy mashed avocado, and a perfectly poached egg with a golden, runny yolk. The avocado toast was smashed to perfection, and layered with flavour. Also, their mocktails were refreshing vibes in every sip! Brunch doesn’t get better than this! We also participated in the Date Night experience. The beet carpaccio brings flavour, colour and texture in perfect harmony! It’s light, fresh and beautifully balanced! I indulged in the exquisite flavour of the sockeye salmon! It boasts a delicate balance of tenderness and rich flavours that melt in your mouth! A harmony of flavours unfolded in this salmon! The beef tenderloin was seared to perfection with a juicy, flavourful interior. The beef tenderloin had an incredible tenderness to it and a rich flavour! It was served alongside silky smooth mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables for that perfect flavour finish - classic comfort with an elegant touch! The chocolate lava cake was perfect for satisfying my sweet tooth. We were expecting a good time at the West Coast Wilderness Lodge, but our experience went way beyond that. I don’t know how to speak higher of the West Coast Wilderness Lodge. These folks are a class act. The staff members were out of this world kind, helpful and courteous. Thank you to the entire staff at the West Coast Wilderness Lodge/Inlets Restaurant for making this such an unforgettable experience—I’ll be talking about this trip at the West Coast Wilderness Lodge for the...

Read moreThey recently changed the menu or perhaps they haven’t changed their menu. Either way their menu was not the same as the one online. We went this evening expecting to find seafood chowder and other seafood related items that were listed on their online menu. Needless to say their menu was very minimal. We ordered the mussels and they were a huge disappointment! I don’t understand why I can find Saltspring Island mussels in Toronto this time of year but I am on the west coast and get served The worst P.E.I. mussels. There was hardly any meat and it was small and shriveled….so very, very disappointed. I had the Salmon Wellington and it was very tasty but I can’t say it was amazing. We also ordered a chicken Cesar salad …the dressing was tasty but I wouldn’t say that 5 thinly sliced pieces of chicken breast and half a head of romaine warrants what they are charging. All in all we were all very disappointed in our meal. The only positive was the view but even then I have the same gorgeous view from my room at the Backeddy. Not much choice for dining in Egmont but will dine at the...
