Mary's bakery / cafe rocks 😁 Fresh, local ingredients, vegetarian / meat options, amazing sourdough breads, pastries and her MEAT! Beautiful, organic, a lot which is locally produced from Quadra & Vancouver Island. Try her maple sausages, thick cut bacon, lean ground beef, and the turkeys she brings in for the holidays, which are stellar! You've never had turkey until you've had a turkey from Mary's 😊 Dogs love her organic lamb bones as well! 😁

Masumi makes some awesome Japanese creations as well, with rice wine vinegar she brews herself that will knock your socks off! Best sunomono salad I've ever tasted!

I make at least one stop here every week, if not 2 or 3 😂 Being able to grab a healthy sandwich & salad here before going into the city for the day, rather than buying fast food on the main island which costs just as much, really is great. Picking up pastries & other goodies to share with friends is also amazing, as is meeting with friends for lunch on Mary's patio.

And now Mary has her daughter & granddaughter working with her, which is awesome! The entire family is incredibly skilled at turning out amazing, delicious creations ♥️

One of the best places on the island to be if your tummy calls. Goooood food, great service and engaging host. Reasonably priced for the quantity, specially the salmon special on Canada Day that my friends and me had been on. Hope that is not a special going forward else you’d have to wait a whole year.
