Stratis Mediterranean Grill — Restaurant in Area C (Blind Bay/Sorrento)

This greek restaurant used to be 10+ out of 10! Tonight we drove out to Sorrento from Salmon Arm for dinner there. There were only 2 other tables having dinner. The rice was hard and crunchy, the potatoes were a mushy mess! The greek salad was hot and mushy beside every other hot item on the plate. They used to give you your greek salad in a separate bowl. We also ordered a pizza with obscure ingredients. The cheese and crust tasted moldy. Which they still charged us 50% for even though we barely ate a slice of a medium. I told them to taste it but they wouldn’t. My husband’s ribs tasted off and certainly not fresh. Sadly, it isn’t what it used to be. I had my absolute favourite meal of my life here. My whole family did about a year and a half ago. The seafood platter used to be dynamite! I’m Just really Sad about it. The calamari & chicken were really good! Don’t waste your time. Sorry Stratis! My friend and I came here for dinner yesterday and the food was delicious as always. We got the appetizer platter which had a little bit of everything to satisfy our stomachs. This family owned gem is always a treat.

Unfortunately as we were finishing up our meals and getting ready to pay, these two older couples started screaming at the owner about their expectation of getting their meal taken off their bill even when the server had offered the option to get a new dish, yet still finished eating most of it. The level of disrespect, classless, and uncalled for behaviour of those people made me wonder what hurt them so bad to become like that. As my friend went up to pay, she stood up for the restaurant calling out their unacceptable behaviour and was then verbally attacked as well. I truly commend and respect the way the restaurant dealt with it.

We generally eat here couple times a month. It’s normally always really good. Decent portion sizes this evening Their portion sizes were Noticeably smaller they normally put their Zeus platter in a very large dish for take out and there’s tons of food for $100

this evening There was not their platter was stuffed into A bunch of tiny to go container there has half the amount of potato half that amount of chicken and half the amount of lamb

We called them to politely let them know what the issue was and all they could tell us was their sorry and they’ll let their cooking staff know.

I’m sorry guys, but letting your cooking staff know doesn’t resolve our issue and for $100 the hundreds that we spend on their Business it’s very disappointing, I understand that tonight was a busy night, but not doing anything about it and just brushing us off will not make us feel very eager...
