Zandunga Tacos & More — Restaurant in Area C (Blind Bay/Sorrento)

I hesitated to leave this review because I am selfish and want to be able to have this place all by myself!

We travel all over the world and seem to find mexican food wherever we are only to find the best in our backyard. Authentic to the region of Oaxaca and not the same old same old tex mex style you get every where including Taco Bell. Instead of rice and beans (BORING) you get much more of the main dish you actually order from the menu. You will be full. Large portions, homemade, full of flavor with always fresh ingredients. Extensive menu with something for everyone to order. The margaritas here are fantastic. On the rocks and definitely refreshing (not watered down like the slushie mix). I'm boring and always go for lime but what can I say, why change if its that good.

Service here is also impeccable. Attentive and super friendly and very helpful if you have questions on the menu. Just ask.

We came in late in the day, near closing, with a to-go order as we were on the road. Thank you to the person at the front who was very patient with us while also tending to others in the restaurant. We were all extremely satisfied with the food and impressed with the ingredients and authentic taste. The salsa options are all amazing and actually hot! Absolutely delicious food! We stopped in here today for lunch, didn’t really know what to expect and we were blown away. Authentic Mexican food, great service and the flavours were amazing. I had the Al pastor tacos, my partner had fish tacos, and chips with guacamole and pico de gallo. My only complaint would be to have more pico de gallo! Haha we could not get enough of it all.
