I recently had an incredible dining experience at the best Chako location, and I must say, it outshines the one at Midland and McNicoll by a long shot! My visit was on December 24th, 2024, at around 7 PM, and I felt compelled to share my thoughts in the early hours of Christmas Day. First off, the price was very reasonable at $48.99 per person, especially considering the quality and quantity of food offered. The atmosphere was lively and festive, enhanced by the hardworking staff who were not only friendly but also wore adorable Christmas headbands and hats, which truly added to the holiday spirit. One of the standout features of this location is the staff's ability to communicate in multiple languages, including Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, thanks to the franchise being owned by a Chinese family. This made our dining experience even more enjoyable, as we felt comfortable and understood throughout our meal. The staff was incredibly attentive, constantly refilling our water glasses and ensuring we had everything we needed. I was particularly impressed with their flexibility regarding food. We were able to send back some untouched and uneaten items without any hassle, which showed their commitment to customer satisfaction. They also provided a variety of side dishes, including delicious kimchi and radishes, which complemented our main courses perfectly. When it comes to cooking the dishes, I recommend taking your time and being cautious, especially with items like chicken, as it can be tricky to get it just right. The grill was replaced promptly, ensuring we had a great cooking experience throughout our meal. One important tip: be mindful of your appetite! The portions are generous, and you'll find yourself full in no time. If you plan on dining here, I suggest skipping either breakfast if you're going for lunch or lunch if you're going for dinner to truly enjoy the feast. Overall, this Chako location provided a fantastic experience, from the warm service to the delicious food. I would absolutely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal. Merry Christmas to all, and happy dining! 😋🍴🥩🍣🍱

I’ve found a new place for good protein fix - Chako in Aurora. On the all you can eat menu are beef, chicken, lamb, salmon, squid, ox tongue, shrimp, and sushi/sashimi. The main protein dishes were great. The side dishes were just okay. Kim-chi was mild, miso soup was watery and lacked taste. Soy sauce were in ‘Kikkoman’ bottles but didn’t taste like it. It wasn’t salty at all, but more like their own sweet concoction sauce. I tried both the green and red cap bottles. Points gained for : - friendly service, especially from Carol - good quality meats - sushi/sashimi on AYCE menu - interior decor and background music - air circulation (not stuffy) - Melona ice cream bars (lots of points for this!) Hope they can improve on: - miso soup - don’t use Kikkoman bottles, label it sweet Teriyaki instead

I am so happy to finally have the first Korean BBQ in Northern York region (ahem... shame on Newmarket fire chief for not allowing Lars BBQ to offer the same experience). We have been to Chako Aurora twice now and both times we were totally impressed. Despite initial skepticism, I was very impressed by the fine food quality at Chako. The meat/fish is fresh, well seasoned and well cut, not to mention the selection is big. If you come here on weekends you pay extra to get steak and sushi, but even the weekday menu offers very good selection for very reasonable price. The meal also comes with Korean side dishes but not the traditional lettuce or Korean sauces. The only downside is that they haven’t received their LLBO license which means you can’t order any alcoholic drinks yet.

I'm writing this review, because it is my hope for you as a visitor to the review section, to see just how amazing this Aurora location really is. Like the others have mentioned, this is a new location that recently opened about a year ago. When I saw the retail space was going to be a CHAKO location, I was extremely excited. I had been to the other locations in Markham and Richmond Hill, but I was fairly dissapointed, especially with the East Beaver Creek location; the particular location was dirty, slipppery and dirty floors, disgusting washrooms you couldn't use, and the service was terrible. Meanwhile, the newly opened Aurora location has the friendliest servers, a beautifully decorated interior and spacious seating that never leaves you feeling cramped or sitting in the next tables lap. The restaurant is very clean and above all else, I find the food at this location just tastes better than the other two locations where I found the food to be very bland. Honestly, being tired of the hamburger and fries everywhere and being into Asian meals, I am thrilled this amazing location is here. My wife and I go once a month at least because of how amazing it is, and every time we go, we are happy to see it is busy, but not TOO busy. We especially love the beef spare ribs and chicken - those two menu items have amazing marinade and seasoning and very flavorful. I'm not sure why the weekend price is different to add mushrooms into the list of options for BBQ, (mushrooms are cheap), but the sushi is definately worth the weekend price. Sometimes I have a craving for both sushi and bbq, and this place satisfies both! A+ hands down would recommend this place any and every time. Just be prepared to hear them remind you time and time again, that the 10% service charge (the tip) is included, but it goes to all the employees - they will remind you that if you'd like to tip the particular server who helped you with your meal, you should leave it on top of the 10% that is automatically added. I appreciate that the experience and service is amazing, but to take 10% off an $80 bill every time, whether service is good or not, doesn't sit well with me. But all in all, phenomenal place I will continue to come back to time...

My teen has been bugging for a long time to come and give it a try. Today we finally did, but it was our 1st and at the same time our last time. The service was pretty good, no complaints. Which I can't say about the food - we got the premium menu for $47/pp. I got sashimi and sushi in addition to the initial items they give - both had no taste of any kind, sashimi was warm and we didn't get the amount of pieces we indicated on the order paper. Miso had a weird plain taste. Soy sauce was extremely salty and unpleasant. Dry steak rub was extremely salty as well. Water had no ice but was brought in with a slice of lemon, which didn't do any justice. Some of the beef cuts were extremely fatty and not appetizing at all. And so was lamb. None of the meats were marinated long enough to retain any flavor. The staff offered to change our grill eventually, which we did, but nobody has ever thought of offering our little plastic sushi plates. All the flavours from all the sauces were making all the foods taste exactly the same. My son was really looking forward to trying it all but even he said that the money they're charging was not worth it. For $50 per person we could have enjoyed another REAL all you can eat or any other higher end restaurant. With everyone's stoves going, they didn't even bother turning the air conditioner high enough to make customers feel cool enough. When we asked for our bill I very carefully reviewed it and a great thing that I did - they added a 12% tip to the total and their interac was also asking for a tip. I purposely skept it since they already charged it without even informing us of it.

I'm a very successful Google reviewer for many years and always take lots of pictures, but not this time, as there was nothing worthy to photograph for sharing. I will NOT recommend this place at all. Don't waste your money...
