I'm not sure wether this review will be seen at all or not, but I wanted to share this so future employees will be treated better.
I used to be an employee here at this A&W. I've had no experience prior to getting the job(this is important).
I started in the middle of October and just got let go recently. I would like to share my feelings as well as what happened.
• I would get into trouble for things that I was not taught. Example, I ended up getting reprimanded for not checking the bathrooms every 30mins, and the tampon box when I haven't been told by my trainer that was expected of me.(I was only told to clean it at a set time, and then check it again before closing)(even when I stated something along the lines of, "Sorry I didn't know that." I would get reprimanded anyways.)
• Favoritism within the workplace. You can tell that when you are new within the workplace, and you aren't/weren't friends/related with anyone before getting hired, people have less patience with you. Example, if I would do something the same way another, more known coworker would(Like chatting for abit during a slow period), I would be the only one in trouble.
• I was used as a fill in. I'm not able to work Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday due to schooling, but I had rest of the week off for work. The way they had scheduled me was a fill in for the "regulars"/"full-timers". I wish they would have given me a set schedule, because with the all over the place shifts it's very difficult to have plans with friends or family members.
• I would get nagged when I didn't need too. Due to my poor training, I wasn't aware of what was within priority. So I would end up standing still for a second to figure out what I should do.(This is during slow periods too were noone is in the drive thru of the dining hall.) I would then end up being reprimanded for standing around, as well as being told to do something.
There's is a few more points I could make, but I don't want this to be super long. So I just noted down what seemed like the most relevant.
Thank you for reading.

Read moreI feel it’s necessary to re-write my review as this A&W has new owners and my experience has significantly changed as the restaurant has changed hands. I have been to this location twice now since the new owners. Both times our orders were made incorrectly. One of my children loves ketchup & the other won’t touch anything with it. Both of their burgers were made incorrectly but when I brought them up to get the problem corrected they argued with me & then handed me back a burger with so much mayo I had to use 3 napkins to wipe it down so my son could eat it. I think they were trying to make a point…. if you only want mayo, I’ll give you mayo! My poor 9 year old son. It’s sad really, they fired everyone who previously worked there & hired all of the owners friends. There isn’t one of the previous employees. My children used to enjoy being greeted by a nice lady there named Tracy. She always remembered my children & served us with a smile. It felt like a small town restaurant. She’s gone now along with every other employee & the good service. I know new business have their kinks but I’m not sure our family will be going back for a long while. I hope they can get it together soon. Burger King might be a better option. I’d rather drive the 10 minutes to get better service & the food we...
Read moreI was at this establishment today for lunch with my daughter and my 2 yr old grandson. My grandson accidentally spilled my drink. My daughter and myself were trying to clean it up with napkins when one the employees politely asked us to just go sit at the next table. The young man came back and cleaned off the table and chairs. A while later an employee came up looking very annoyed at the mess. I felt bad as it was. Then she asked in a snappy voice. Was this mess you guys? I said yes… She walked away annoyed making us feel worse. She came back with a bucket of water and she said . Next time to come in here and make a mess at least let someone know. I told her someone knew and they told us to move to this table. And that between them serving customers they had started cleaning up the mess. She attempted to clean the mess didn’t wring out the mop. Left a worse and much bigger puddle than the...
