Eva's Deli — Restaurant in Barrie

Unfortunately all food here is microwaved and then served. I ordered a schnitzel on a bun which came with no toppings but onions. The schnitzel was warmed in the microwave which gave it that chewy meat texture. I also ordered 5 cabbage rolls for my partner. The cabbage rolls were cold- straight out of a fridge or maybe thawed out of a freezer. We had to microwave for 4+ min at home. Cabbage rolls were not flavourful or fresh (as expected with cold microwaved foods). For the cost of what I paid for this, the food was totally not the quality I would expect. Recently a friend had asked on Facebook if anyone knew of a place that sold "Dill Pickle Soup" in the Barrie area. I live across the country in British Columbia but made it my mission to find it for her. Through a bit of searching I discovered Eva's Deli. Eva was on board to make this happen! The order was received, as fresh as if my friend was at the deli. She mentioned the Mason jar of soup was still warm and the potato pancakes and pierogies were freshly made.
