Mucho Burrito Fresh Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Barrie

I went with my husband today at approximately 13:25 (July 27/21). Upon entering there was a male (not working) standing at the end of the counter socializing with the staff (2 workers; one male and one female). We waited patiently to be greeted. Once greeted by the female staff member the visitor began talking to the female staff and interrupting us. She directed her focus to him instead of us, the paying customers. When I asked if she was talking to him or us, she stated us. As we were giving our order the visitor stayed at the end of the counter giving us the stink eye and mumbling under his breath. The female staff member shot him a firm glance and said something brief to him. After a few moments he wondered around the store aimlessly, then left, stating he would return. This was the most uncomfortable, unwelcoming, inappropriate experience I’ve ever had. Do not go here if you want to be treated respectfully and if you want to enjoy your meal. The interaction with the staff will leave you disheartened. Best to go to a different location.I tried to leave feedback on your website but for some reason it was saying cookies are not enabled. I tried from multiple browsers. I’ve contacted head office and I am waiting for them to return my call

UPDATE: I’m guessing from this reply that your staff never forwarded my concerns to you when you were on holidays? I had called and asked for you to call me. My name was taken by the staff member who was too interested in socializing rather than serving customers.

They severely reduced the portion size, over $15 for not even half a bowl of food. Is a shame, because I love the food itself, and the portion size used to justify the prices, but not any more. Owner is also a little.. strange? Supposedly takes money out of employee’s pay if they use too many toppings (probably why the portion sizes have been reduced, I wouldn’t risk getting paid any less than minimum wage, this also seems illegal if true) I have friends who have worked at this specific location, where the owner also asked them irrelevant questions during their interview (red flag) like how many windows there are in Barrie, how far is the earth from the sun, what day is the third Sunday of March. Owner obviously has “a vision” for this place, and considers himself “eccentric”. I could look past all this before because I was just buying a bowl of food, but after my last order I feel nothing short of ripped off, so I decided to share my feelings here (something I rarely do, check my profile). 2 stars because I would feel bad giving this place a zero because the food is actually good, but owner needs to either hire a GM to run the place, or expect more people like me to voice their opinion. IF ONLY I COULD PUT NEGATIVE STARS! I am an adamant Mucho Burrito fan.... the one on cundles used to be able to compliment me on new jewlery i was there so often. I still go frequently and 95% of my online orders are for mucho burrito .... and whenener i order from ANY LOCATION BUT HERE... its amazing .... but honestly the order i got today pushed me over the edge and i have to make sure i put a review.... someone could have litterally s**t in a tortilla and sent it to me and at least it would have been moist.... the side of salsa looks like it was watered down to fill the cup and the vegitables looked tasted and felt like they had been grilled then left out since the night before..... the pork was so dry it would have been more appetizing if shoved a handful of dirt in my mouth! And they even managed to burn the outside of the burrito as well.... the quesadilla i got was so soggy it couldnt hold together when you tried (and failed) to pick it up .....everything was inedible and straight up disgusting....
