This place is generally consistent three star place. They do as advertised, not above not below which is great, usually…. Except today, walked in and there are two people working one person is making subs for an online order and the other person is doing tasks, like stuff in the back refilling things and just other stuff. So it took about five minutes to get served even though I was the only person there but not a big deal because the other person was in training. But then I observed the person making the sub kept touching the tablet screen with the gloves on while the tablet was also on the food preparing table, and would grab ingredients after touching the tablet which I found kind of gross especially in a food environment, then that person started making my sub but did change their gloves. Then got to a certain point and handed the sub to the person in training to finish, but the person in training did not change their gloves and I was even a grossed out before because they handled meat with the gloves they had on touching everything else while tasking. So I was observing and making sure I didn’t order whatever he touched. I had to ask him to change his gloves before touching my sub. I got bacon on my sub and he put it in a big clump in the middle of the sub and I had to ask if he didn’t mind to spread the bacon out on each side which every other subway in the world basically does, and him and their partner basically looked at each other like I was being a jerk. To be fair this was the first time I’ve really had a bad experience at this location, but it was actually the worst experience I’ve ever had at a subway, and I was extremely grossed out by the lack of food safety and hygiene. I have the sub on my table in the bag still debating if I’m even going to eat it since I was grossed out so much. Even if these were times that people weren’t concerned about spreading germs still...
Read moreSubway would rather throw out food than honor a coupon. We went in to try a panini sandwich with a coupon we got in the mail (get a free panini with the purchase of any drink), so I ordered a chicken cordon blue panini on whole wheat bread. When I got to the cash, they refused to take my coupon cause I did not get it on ciabatta bread. No where on the coupon does it say you have to get it on a certain type of bread, it just says you have to get a panini sandwich, which I did. They said it's because they are promoting the new bread, but again, no where on the coupon does it say you have to get ciabatta bread only. I was even looking at the bread options when I ordered and I don't remember seeing it with the other options. I could be wrong on this as I'm not 100% but I'm pretty sure. We asked them if they could make an exception as it wasn't clearly marked, and I just wanted what the coupon offered, and the staff and manager said no. They were not nice about it, they didn't offer to remake the sandwich or offer and alternative to me. I just stood there like an idiot without any resolution, so I didn't buy the sandwich. Who ever owns this store should take a hard look at their staff because the customer service is awful!! I went to Pizza Pizza next door and had a slice of pizza instead and they were nice and I had no problems there. I will never return to this subway location or recommend it...
Read moreI purchased 2 foot-long subs at this location and when I got home my wife and I noticed a foul smell and taste coming from the subs. We opened them up and found that the lettuce in both subs was giving off pesticide-like smells, and the taste was incredibly bitter/offputting. My wife is pregnant so we couldn't take the chance at trying to remove the lettuce and eating around it, so we decided to try and get a refund. I call the store and the worker that answered sounded sympathetic, he told me they would need to call me back about the refund but that they were going to throw out the bad lettuce. Some time passed and I no one called, so I decided to drive to the location instead (I live nearby so it wasn't a long trip). When I arrived, I saw that they did NOT change the lettuce. I asked the worker if we can talk about the refund, and after calling his manager the worker told me that they couldn't refund me because the "lettuce is from a supplier, so it's not our fault" and that I had to contact subway headquarters to get the refund. How is it not your fault? Your store is serving rancid-smelling and tasting lettuce to customers, you need to take ownership of this. I call the manager myself and after a while he agrees to refund the price, but they STILL kept the old lettuce there and kept serving customers....
