I had the worst unhealthy experience in 10 years. We ordered 3 dishes which we consumed at the business - by the way, they should really indicate that they do not provide but plastic cutlery if you are not picking up food. We finished food around 7pm by 9:30pm both consumers got bad stomach cramps and indigestion from beef with Broccoli (we know it was that because the nausea clearely came from it). Also, my assumption is that there was something wrong with the sauce and the beef as it tasted not out of order but a little strange. We had asked for no onion and no garlic so I wonder what rwas used instead. We took with us a third of each of the 3 dishes we ordered with us - yes, portions are large. Then we had the worst night with stomach pain in years. I called them today and the lady, who works in the kitchen, starts justifying herself saying something as awkward as "we reacted to the broccoli". I had to put the phone down when she started using a loud voice. I gave them the opportunity to ammend the awful unhealthy experience they gave us with an apology but they wouldn't care. Save yourself a disgusting and unhealthy experience and don't go there nor call for food. My stomach is still unwell 20 hours afterwards. From what I read, they must be using unhealthy MSG levels. Of course, I have disposed the rest of the food, and never...
Read moreI read a lot of good reviews so I drove for half an hour to get food at this place. I ordered from the Thai menu. I love Thai food.
So, I ordered coconut rice, which is coconut cooked in coconut milk, satay chicken skewers, peanut chicken and fresh spring rolls.
The attendant asked if I wanted chicken in the rice. I specifically said I just wanted plain Thai coconut rice made with coconut milk. No peas, egg, carrots in it. Just the rice, cooked "Thai style in coconut milk". I said that three times.
She seemed in a hurry and said yeah, yeah. Then she hung up when I was about to ask how she wanted me to pay.
Anyhow, I went to pick it up and am greatly disappointed. They gave me stir fried rice with eggs in it. Not even a hint of coconut. The "fresh" spring roll was dried out and hard to eat. The satay skewers were so dry and leathery that it was not possible to eat. Finally, the peanut chicken had a few thin slices of chicken only on the top layer. Thecrest was mostly onions and mushrooms in sauce. This last dish tasted very good, but it was a rip off with so little chicken.
Plus, the attendant had her mask under her nose the entire time she dealt with me and handled the machine. Really!?!!!
Just now I decided to read the lowest ratings in here and see similar complaints. I paid about $63.00 for the...
Read moreIt would be nice if they didn't "scimp" out on the little things like adding proper amount of bean sprouts to pad thai and perhaps even a lime wedge. Same issue with the chicken soupâŚ. lots of noodles but no bean sprouts like a proper chinese/vietnamese should. I wonder why this is? Pad thai is the signature dish of all Thai restaurants in my opinion. This restaurant provides 95% noodles and is not what I experienced when in Thailand nor expect at a North American 'equivalent'.
The ?owner (Asian woman) seems to lack interpersonal skills in particular after I said, "thanks for the great food" as I was departing the restaurant, (take out order). Perhaps she didn't hear me but I think she was consumed by her conversation with a non-customer.
Waitresses are nice and friendly but lack experience with Thai food. Asking for cilantro became a comedy of errors. Perhaps they should learn about the food they serve?
Food did not hold up well after being refrigerated. Other pad thai dishes do, as I've experienced over many years with such dishes. Again, too many noodles and no moisture which would have been provided by the sprouts.
Good luck to them. I hope they read this and...
