My family finally decided to walk in and see what this place was all about. Atmosphere I would describe as Well Worn Bar - roadhouse tables and high tops, stark lighting remind of days when going to late night clubs and the lights are turned on at the end of the night. The Food - The Thai bites were quality - chunks of juicy white chicken with just a little breading - but the sauce tasted more sweet & sour vs Thai to me, personally. My wings were quite good and cooked well, very nice size - big juicy wings. I ordered the barbecue sauce which was just ok - would likely try a different one next time. Beer selection is mostly domestic major brews with no microbrews on tap … both my beer and the soda that I had after were flat, but this is easily fixable and likely a transient problem with the CO2 cartridge. Service was decent … waitress was friendly enough but had to be reminded to bring things at times. I would not hesitate to go again and try more things.

First, as others stated, the pop is flat. It’s obviously a known issue because there’s cans of pop ready to go if you return it/complain. We were served water instead of ice tea - no biggie but it tasted like pool water. The chlorine level was actually unnerving and the issue wasn’t taken seriously (like the pop). We were served what only can be described as deep fried scalene triangles instead of fish, I’ve never seen food like this before. It was about a centimetre thick, long triangle with a strange coating and obvious signs of freezer burn. We took a few bites and left it. We were in shock the staff actually let the food leave the kitchen - not even looking like food. We could tell the server was embarrassed to bring it to our table. The owner did comp the meal and asked if we wanted something else. We politely refused, there’s something very wrong with the food and drinks served here. We left hungry and ate elsewhere.

Ended up at Sharon House last night, not really expecting much... throughout our years of living here, it's changed hands and names so many times I've lost count and we stopped going ... but I think this time we may have a winner!! (Fingers crossed). Not only did they have a KILLER band last night, but the food was pretty darn good! Not JUST pub style food (although that's basically what we ordered). The entrée options go beyond that. My daughter had the pesto penne and loved it. I just had the cauliflower bites and a drink, just to watch the band. Our friends had fries and mozza sticks. All good. Server was extremely friendly. Place was dead, but it was Kempenfest. They need to have that band back, I have no doubt the place would be bursting at the seams. Pat Riel Band all the way!

It’s one of those things where going out for food and drinks has now become so expensive that I have to be choosy. I tried this establishment but won’t be going back. Here’s why : Pluses : staff is very nice , it’s local, and there is some activity in the way of live entertainment and karaoke - if you like that. Food is mediocre at best - mostly easy pub fare Challenges : it’s dirty. It feels dirty . You know what they say, if it’s dirty then you don’t want to se r the kitchen . Well , let’s start at the door- the one that’s not boarded up! Take a walk inside and the lighting is not welcoming . The bar: I couldn’t get past the dirty mirrors and empty fish bowls lining the shelves above the liquor bar. Music: loud club dance music( everyone in there was over 45 -50 years of age . Ya gotta modify the music to suit the crowd . Rock? Country? anything but club booming house . Food: I stuck to nachos to make it easy since most looked like from frozen. It was okay except for the guacamole which was fresh and smelled from a jar or can. I passed on that . Fresh fair would have been welcomed- in case you want to attract loyal customers with some money to spend on an awesome freshly made meal. Overall: it doesn’t look like the new owners put a lot into this place when it changed to Tipsy Goose . There is nothing endearing about the place. The atmosphere is confusing , it’s dark and uninviting , beers on tap are basic, food is basic and not entirely fresh. Would I go back? No. There are so many other establishments in Barrie where I feel I’m getting a comfortable evening out . The owner should take notes and hope this review is seen as constructive . Start with cleaning the...

In Barrie for the Everest Curling Club Championships. This place is one of the sponsors so the team went for supper to support them. Well we were there, supported them and will never be back!

There was one waitress working when we came in with our 8 and she had people sitting and having drinks and playing pool and darts. The poor girl was doing her best to get our orders, serve drinks and cash out other customers. Took her a bit to come take our order, but we understood. One of our party is celiac so she asked the waitress what her options would be, she was unsure so she went to the cook and the only things they were sure about was house salad and a piece of salmon, so that’s what she ordered. The rest of our party ordered numerous different dishes, some were pretty good, others ok, and some not worth taking the leftovers home,

It took well over a hour for us to get our food and the salmon that was served with the salad was completely inedible. She couldn’t even put a fork in it and forget trying to cut it. It was so overcooked it was a rock. When the person paying told the waitress about it and asked that it be removed from the bill, she was willing but couldn’t do it without talking to her manager first. The manager didn’t even bother to come out and talk to us about it, but used the waitress as a go between to make excuses why the salmon was overcooked and was not wanting to take it off the bill.

Needless to say we will never be back and will be their worst advertising. Definitely do not...

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant/bar/lounge! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. The ambiance is perfect for any occasion, whether it's a casual dinner with friends or a lively night out.

Let's talk about the food - it's absolutely phenomenal. Every dish is crafted with care and attention to detail, and the flavors are out of this world. From the appetizers to the main courses, everything is delicious and beautifully presented.

The staff here are amazing. They're friendly, attentive, and always go above and beyond to make sure you have a fantastic experience. Whether you need recommendations from the menu or just want to chat, they're there with a smile.

One of the things I love most about this place is their daily food and beverage specials. It's always exciting to see what's on offer, and it's a great way to try something new at a great price. And let's not forget about karaoke nights - they're an absolute blast! Whether you're a seasoned singer or just looking to have some fun, karaoke nights here are not to be missed.

Overall, this restaurant/bar/lounge is top-notch in every way. The welcoming atmosphere, amazing food, enjoyable staff, and fun events make it a five-star establishment in my book. I can't wait to come...
