Sam's Pizza Ltd — Restaurant in Barriere

Ordered salt and pepper wings to try out the food. Took a bit but they where great. Didn't taste frozen and where cooked and seasoned very well. Gave a lot of confidence in trying other things from the menu. The drinks are just pop from a can so if you order a coke its pepsi and ice tea is just brisk (might not be everyone's cup of tea). Ordered the rib samplers and chicken teriyaki bowl after asking the waitress what was good. Came with a soup or a salad with both the menu items, ordered one of each. The soup was a vegetable melody which was a bit bland needed some vinegar or wine or something to help brighten the flavors of the soup. The caesar salad was a bit heavy on the dressing (pooled on the bottom and was a bit mushy) but overall pretty good salad. The teriyaki sauce was housemade but unfortunately that is the last positive thing about the food. The chicken was frozen and or overcooked it was rubbery and the vegetables tasted like they came out of a bag. The ribs where extremely overcooked as well and not at a high enough temperature as well (meat fell of the bones and the fat wasn't rendered properly) and the garlic bread was overcooked and charred a bit. Seems like they are very good at the basics of cooking but just need to improve at the more complex aspects. Only took q few bites before sending it back and the waitress was very nice and apologetic about it being crummy which none of it was her fault. When she went in the back to talk to the kitchen about it the owner took it off and we got to pay and leave.

Overall would revisit and try since the wings, homemade teriyaki, and the waitress hospitality definitely makes it worth going back to see if anything else on the menu...

We stopped over in Barrier during a move from Alberta to BC. We had dinner at Sam's pizza and it exceeded expectations! The quality of the food was perfect, the menu had plenty of options. My mother had a Greek dish while I had a teriyaki chicken rice bowl and my bf had the spicy chicken burger. We had sides of soup and salad and everything on our table was freshly made and absolutely delicious. The service was one of the best customer service experiences I've had. My wife and I just had our Valentines Dinner and night out at Sam's. Well it did not disappoint. It is so nice to be able to enjoy an incredible night out with great food in our little community. Service was amazing and personable. Food was incredible. The main course to the sides were done to perfection.
