Macao Imperial Tea Beaumont — Restaurant in Beaumont

I visited for the first time over the weekend and my initial thought is the place was cozy and well decorated. It was also busy which is usually a great sign. I ordered the beef bulgogi rice bowl to go and a taro bubble tea with no whip. I waited a while for the food and when I received it, I noticed it didn't have the green onions or sesame seeds that was in the description and the beef had no flavour. I asked for hot sauce and was given a side of Frank's Red hot... Which I thought was strange for a place that serves Asian cuisine- no Sriracha or authentic hot sauce? I waited longer for the bubble tea and It had whipped cream, even though I had requested no whip. I understand that it was busy and there was only 2 staff working but my first impression wasn't good. Unfortunate experience as we were really looking forward to our lunch. A bit of a calamity of errors: ordered 2 avocado toasts and weren’t told they were out of avocado, until our food was delivered and found them replaced with eggs Benny without asking us. ordered a cheese and bacon omelette and only got an egg omelette (no bacon or cheese in sight) 4 of us got our meals, and the 5th didn’t come out until we were all finished my Montreal brisket eggs benny was really bland.

On top of having to wait over 20 min for our drinks and bubble tea.

The poor servers were swamped, and we felt for them. But everyone who was waiting for food and drinks was waiting a very long time.

My mom and I came in for lunch today before our pedicure appointment across the street. The bubble teas and iced coffee are so good, and they are very understanding if you want substitutions, and the food was so good for being a fast food type food. I had the cod sandwich and the fish was so tasty and the batter was crispy, it was very delicious. My mom had the chicken teriyaki bowl and the chicken was so juicy and still crispy and had a lot of flavour. Every-time I visit here the staff are so friendly and smiley, I just love the atmosphere.
