Cortado Tasting Room — Restaurant in Bedford

I don't even know what to rate this, MINUS maybe (look under other 1/2 star reviews as well for further). I'm not the only person who made some observations about that blonde-ish haired girl (young girl, two long pony tails, nose ring, open torso attire, high waist pants) this morning. I stood there long enough for my beverage and breakfast sandwich to be prepared to make my own observations of this girl. So...she grabs a couple of napkins, blows her nose, tosses the napkin and carries on. THEN, she wipes her nose with her fingers and carries on. THEN, she applies lip balm with her fingers and carries on. Handling coffee filters, food and everything else with those hands she's lathered in snot. THEN she walks to the front to start preparing drinks. Got the picture....thank goodness another employee moved her away from the counter and took over for my order (she was about to prepare my beverage) or I would have said no thanks, got a refund and left. She obviously had a cold or allergies, her nose and eyes were red and her attitude, well....as described by others who gave her a 1/2 star ratings. Her attitude was as bad as her lack of hygiene - very short/annoyed with the other employees and for the length of time I was there observing all of this, I can see why she has this attitude with customers. She does not have the skills suitable for the food service industry. Owners of Cortado, if you read these reviews, you need to speak to her or replace her with someone who has more respect for service and hygiene in this industry. Location, is good sounded with residential area, there is enough free parking for cleints, the facility is wide enough to fit customer, colours are elegant and warm, having high seats and regular one I see it positive, decorations is nice and variety seats is also a good option, what I found an issue is the service table (where suger and garbage cabinet is) it is too far and hard to reach . Products and time of process, I noticed (in my visit) there wasn't enough varieties of pastry (limited) and good type of beverages. Hospitality and employee, I like how employees are friendly understand clients needs, take the order with a smile. The timing between order and prepare the order within expected time, well done. Cleanliness, the facility is cleanliness is pluasible including the washroom, I see one washroom is not enough, however the washroom is equipped well. Need only refresher. Just ordered a scrambled egg breakfast taco and received the two tacos without scrambled egg on them. Didn’t realize until I was pretty much done the first one. Asked the girl at the counter if there was supposed to be egg on it and she said yes. I’m told her there wasn’t so she went into the kitchen and returned saying the chef/cook forgot to put it on and asked me what I wanted to do… I gave her the one remaining taco back and said do whatever they are told to do in these situations. I returned to my seat and she came out with some scrambled egg on top of my one taco, she didn’t apologize or offer any kind of compensation for the inconvenience and I just I only get one egg with the meal instead of the two that I paid for.
