Out of province visitor, went to the area to hike. Stopped by Barbies for a quick meal and beer. Had the half rack ribs, fries and coleslaw. Environment and atmosphere was nice and friendly. I managed to get by with some limited French, the serveuse was friendly and was able to understand me and was able to speak some English as well. Unfortunately, I did not catch her name. Was not busy at time of visit, and this was the day after St. Jean Baptiste

I like this place. The general Tao shrimp wasn't the best as I feel they used frozen vegetables and the shrimp I could make at home unfortunately. Usually I like it though. Their brochettes are great just wish they had greek potatoes ..when I go we like to order 2 for the prices of so and so $28 or 32 was it? sometimes the service could be slow but overall good. Their steak plate is delicious 😋

I like this place. The general Tao shrimp wasn't the best as I feel they used frozen vegetables and the shrimp I could make at home unfortunately. Usually I like it though. After a tiring day at the Grand Prizx, it was late and many restaurants were closed or uncomfortable for the way I felt. At Barbie's I felt very welcome and had a very good burger, along with an excellent brew. You know you're in Canada when there are multiple TVs and they are all tuned to Hockey. Loved it! The waitress (Fiona? Not sure) was attentive and helpful. I will make it a point to go...
