My family is from Blind River, we've been going to JR's since I can remember, and I think you could say that it is a staple in our community! There are no words to describe how amazing the food is, as well as the customer service every time I go there! The owners and their staff go above and beyond ensuring that each and every order is made with quality and care. I would recommend JR's Pizza to any and all people looking for somewhere to eat! I have even purchased a JR's hoodie from the owners to support and advertise their local business! Try it out, you won't be sorry!

Honestly I can not say enough good things about this place. Best pizza and wings around. They have other apps that are quite delicious too but wings and pizza are our go to. They also offer a gluten free option. It's a bit pricey but completely worth it. All the staff is amazing and polite. The only time I ever had an order wrong or the pizza wasnt quite cut lol was when they were training someone (which is expected) and they were so apologetic. Hands down best pizza I've had between Quebec and B.C. no question.

What a great find right on the T-Can! We stopped for lunch in Blind River and we had a delicious pizza. We ate right on the front porch watching the traffic go by. The owners are celebrating their 30th year operating the shop and they are super nice and friendly. Good place to pick up a pizza on your way, as well. Delicious 🍕!

My husband and I moved to the area recently, we tried the pizza and it was really good! The people work really hard you can tell.

The atmosphere of the town is way off. A town representative when we were bragging about how great the food was, warned us to stay away!

We won’t be staying away, we will be staying away from that person.

You just get the vibe there is a group of people wanting this successful couple to fail, this is a Blind River fever 🥵 that needs to be eradicated .

I’ve never seen such a hard working couple in a long time, I did some digging and found out the owners are local but they aren’t treated very good 👍.

When you are in next, tell them how hard they are working compared to others, and they should be running the town hall.

My husband and I have never seen such a lack of safety with, unsafe roads in all of my life or a town is so much financial trouble.

We’re hoping these owners rise to the occasion and get all the roads looking like they do in front of their place.

We really look forward to meeting the owners one day soon and shake their hand 🤚 for a job well done.

The atmosphere is ranked low - the Town atmosphere, I’ve never met such nepotism amongst town staff is everyone related or were friends In high school? My husband is trying to learn about the ballon payment of 35 million we now owe because we live here . I’m scared to death, we don’t have out share of that money, do we lose everything too???

We have asked the town about the debt, they don’t provide any details, I feel like they are hiding something big !

The pizza business will be the only business in town, so maybe people should support them. In Toronto, you would be successful or anywhere so remember that Blind River needs you, you don’t need Blind River....

We ordered two pizzas and spent almost $80 without tip for them. One was a large with two veggie and a meat ($33) and one was a XL Deluxe ($41). These pizzas were good, but not that good. They are more expensive than some of the fanciest pizza places I have been to in Ottawa and Toronto. So even thought they know how to throw and assemble a good pie, the price makes you feel taken advantage of.

No matter what, avoid ordering any XL sized pizza. They charge between 25-50% more than they do for a L pizza. They both come in the same sized box though. The only difference is the XL takes up the whole square, while the large is circle that just fits up the whole box. I took a picture of the two and calculated the area. The XL was only 13% larger (hypothetical max is around 22%), yet I was charged almost 38% more. When you look online some of the XL toppings are 50% more expense. It is probably one of the worst values you will come across this year.

They do not post their most menus on-line. The one I found that was posted four months earlier was not what they charged me. When I asked about the difference the person serving said that it was an old one and when I asked where the new one was posted, she said they had not put it online yet. So confirm...

Prices are ridiculous and the owners always deflect from this by repeating that they are locally owned. Understandable. But come on… $30+ for two pounds of chicken wings? I respect the difficulties that come with being a business owner but these prices are simply unjustified and over inflated, especially when my large pepperoni that I ordered had pretty much only 3 pepperonis per slice. I have also noticed the subtle changes that they keep making; less pepperoni, less cheese, sauce seems to have lost flavor (or possibly just less sauce). A change like this seems to happen after they hike up their prices. So now we are expected to pay more for less. Ethically this seems wrong and deceptive, at least in my personal opinion. It’s really unfortunate to see because JR’s was once a really great establishment. Now it seems like it’s being run into the ground by poor management. They are hardly ever open anymore which is extremely unfortunate (especially when they aren’t open during lunch time). I really hope that some changes are made in the future but for now, if you’re a person with time and a vehicle, I’d just go to Elliot lake for toppers...
