This is constructive criticism from our experience. I asked the waitress if your scallop shrimp special was deep fried and asked her to explain dish. She said it was lightly fried which means sautéed. It was deep fried when served and no one mentioned it was salad shrimp, who serves shrimp salad without a salad ? They were bland as well, both the shrimp & frozen scallops. Also didn’t mention the xtra $ for up sell of poutine which always irks me when I get the bill. The poutine was the best thing on the plate though. Overpriced for a mediocre dish. Photo attached. This was $37! The Caesar salad was watery. Whoever prepped the romaine didn’t dry it properly. The nacho dish was definitely sitting in the pass for awhile. Cheese had hardened over. Are you using battered frozen wings ? Stop doing it they are terrible. You are going to say but everyone loves these dishes and didn’t complain. Most tourist don’t complain. It’s a one time visit so they chalk it up to a bad meal on holiday and move on. The drinks were great. The onion rings were fantastic. The live entertainment was great ! Our server was timid and not informed on how anything is prepared or ingredients in the dishes, more training for this youngster. The kitchen needs more care that’s all, better quality ingredients & better recipes. We picked up the bill that night. $350 (tax & tip in). Felt ripped off. Edit: the owner of this restaurants response is ridiculous. Maybe take accountably for the food you are serving. Snide replies will never make you improve. Responding that you are busy or that we make mistakes sometimes isn’t pliable. You need to stand behind dishes that you are charging $25 and more for. They need to be almost perfect. Being busy isn’t an excuse. Go over the issues with your kitchen and wait staff. If this restaurant was in a bigger market area you wouldn’t survive. Rebuttals are immature and riddled with incorrect grammar and spelling mistakes. It must be a younger staff member responding to them. Take a note out of other establishments and deal with low reviews in an appropriate manner fitting a restaurant that...

I came here 2 years ago and it was amazing. Like others, the toutons was a highlight and the snow crab was quite tasty too. I ate there twice on that trip. I was very excited to come back again for more food but this time around, I was pretty disappointed and really hope that it was only a one-off experience.

Food: The salmon was ok but a bit bland and bit overcooked but it was the better of the two dishes. The lobster roll was quite disappointing tbh. The lobster salad didn't have much lobster flavour and bland overall, but the worst part of it was that it was served on a very cold burnt bun. Unfortunately the photo didn't show it (and I didn't notice it until I started eating it). Why the bun was so burnt and then served chilled (not room temp) is weird. I had to pick the burnt pieces off. The lettuce is nice visually but it creates a barrier between the lobster salad and bun which keeps it dry but flavours less infused. The salad was great because the blueberry dressing was good and that was the highlight of this meal.

Service: We arrived shortly after 12 and indoor seating was empty but it still took some time for someone to seat us even though there were 3 staff around. During the meal and already disappointed with the food, I tried not to hear them, but it's quite unprofessional of them to gripe about their hours, shift and such especially when were not that close to them.

Again, I hope this is a one-off incident as my other 2 experiences were good or great but I felt that management should be aware of...

Server came over and took our drink order. I watched the bartender make the drinks and the tray of drinks stayed on the bar, ready, for 5-7 min before our server brought it over. It was not busy there was only 2 other people in the restaurant at the time. We placed our food order, the food took a very long time to come out. When it did everyone who ordered fries, their fries were soggy and lukewarm. I ordered a Caesar salad with the grilled chicken. When my salad came out the chicken was cold... not even heated. I took a couple bites of my salad and instantly starting feeling ill. I walked out to get some fresh air. When I did my fiancé took our server to the side to pass on her complaints on the food. When she did the server took it very personally and started being standoffish. He ended up kicking us out of the restaurant and wouldn't even let pay for the food we ate (which we had no problem at all doing) . While my family was sitting there confused trying to figure out what just happened he sent his son over to clean up the table in an effort to rush us out. Super unprofessional server, He also proceed to ask where my fiancé worked? Not sure how this information is relevant to a server at a restaurant... possible his intent was to scare her? I'm not sure.

Edit: glad to see owner only replies to positive...

First time in my life I left NO TIP! 1. Hostess told us she'd move us to the outdoor seating when available and never did 2. Waitress took our order but didn't offer water and never came back again 3. Person delivering the food spilled ours fries, which were overflowing the tiny mini deep fryer and then replaced then immediately with barely full replacements 4. Food was great! 5. Live music was OK but WAY TOO LOUD, difficult to carry on a conversation (which is why we wanted a seat outside) 6. Once served (one round of drinks by one person, food by another, and nothing else by anyone of them or anyone else), never asked how anything was or if we needed anything (we did) 7. Waited for our bill, with dirty dishes for quite a while and after looking at us and away, the hostess came to take the plates away and said she'd bring the bill 8. She never brought the bill 9. We waited longer but it never came so I tried to pay at the bar, but no, suddenly our waitress who took the order and ghosted us suddenly appeared and said she'd bring it to us. She eventually did. 10. I felt this justified no tip. It was busy so I'm sure they did OK without our tip. 2 drinks, a burger and a moose burger were $90 without tip
