Last night we had invited 50 guests for our 40th anniversary celebration at Bukhara Grill. We had the worst possible experience ever. They knew that their heating was not working and they did not do anything about it. Our guests were shivering. The bar wasn't even set up when the guests started arriving. They were totally disorganized. I had met the owners twice going over ever minute detail but it seems the owners did not pass the instructions to their staff. As a host I should have been looking after my guests but I could not do that as I was constantly trying to fix things which Bukhara should have done. A few examples - music system not set up, tables set up with 7 chairs instead of 8 chairs, audio / video cables missing, running out of the agreed alcohol list until we insisted that they serve what was agreed upon in our package, loose wire which caused the music to stop every few minutes, very small plates for snacks, not enough forks for snacks and spoons for dessert, one vegatable was half cooked and they substituted another vegetable without our permission, they brought the Champagne out 30 minutes after the agreed time resulting in a disruption of our planned program. Bukhara did not even ensure that their entrance was safe and one of our guests slipped and fell on the ice which was not salted and suffered injury to her eye and her glasses were broken. The owners did not even come to apologize to our guest. The duty manager Bobby tried his best to fix things that were under his control but Bukhara's total lack of organization for our party was too much for him to handle. The owners over promised a lot and under...

Read moreWe visited Bukhara on a Sunday evening to celebrate the birthday of our daughter and her grandmother (born on the same date). The dinner was delightful, with great food, service, and family time.
Our family is mostly Indian--the eldest generation was even born on the subcontinent. Thus, we know our Indian food! Bukhara does a fantastic job. Everyone--family, friends, you name it--is always impressed (we do come often).
We shared amongst our table the Tandoori Mix Platter to start. It was filled with delicious tandoori-prepared meats: 2 lamb kebabs, 2-3 chicken tikkas, 2 tandoori prawns, and 2 lamb chops. All were fabulous, especially the lamb chops (nice spices and grill flavor). We had some lassis too, the mango and the sweet. Both were very tasty.
For our shared mains, we passed around goat masala (amazing savory/peppery flavor!), palak paneer (more depth of flavor than your average saag paneer!), the bread basket (fresh and warm!), and the dal makhani (creamy and rich--thanks to the butter!). Everything was expertly cooked--delicious flavors and ingredients all around.
The service was just as great as the food. Raj was our kindly waiter. He even gave our little girl a birthday cupcake (much appreciated--thank you, Raj).
All in all, Bukhara was a fantastic spot for our celebratory dinner--food, service, and value all top-notch. We...
