Absolutely terrible experience at this location, and it's not the first time. I haven't been in years, and this visit cemented my view on this place unfortunately. You'd figure that time would allow them to clean up their act but it's just a shame.
I went tonight on my way home and decided I wanted to get some McDonald's to play the monopoly game. When I got to the drive through, I ordered a double quarter pounder with cheese, and when asked if I wanted a combo I specifically asked about the medium fries coming with monopoly stickers. I asked, and was told that yes, the medium fries come with monopoly stickers. I placed my order and paid for it, then right before I left the plaza, I checked, and what do you know. There are no monopoly stickers on the fries.
So I pull back around, wait at the drive through speaker until they are ready, and explain my dilemma. I'm told to pull up and let them know at the window. When I get to the window, I explain I didn't get medium fries, and am given another order of small fries in a bag, I take the bag and when I get to my car there is no monopoly stickers. I walk back to the window for a third time now, and explain again. I'm told that the medium do NOT come with monopoly stickers, and I said I was told otherwise at the speaker while placing my order. The manager then points to her badge to show her superiority (managing the night shift at a McDonald's BTW, nothing that serious) and claims that she's the one who took the order and she did not say that. I stated "I'm not looking to get anyone in trouble, Idk who took my order, I just know that I asked if the medium fries came with monopoly stickers, and since I was told they do, I would like some. Can you please give me an empty cup or something because I only ordered them after being told it was included." She says that I'm lying, and there's nothing she can do. She tells me If I would like them, I woul need to place an order for something else and pay for it.
I repeated my concern, and again asked her to make it right. She refused, and I said "alright, well I guess I won't be coming back here"
The girl looks at me and says "that's okay"
Food was also cold after all of this back and forth of course. God knows how useless mentioning that would have been.

Read moreI'd like to start out by saying the high school students who work here are wonderful. Great customer service. Now, I've been coming here for about 5 years and a pattern that I have noticed is that most (not all) the adult employees are miserable. What finally brought me here to write a review is how I was treated today. Without getting into specifics, the cashier at the first drive thru window made a small error. She was apologetic and told me to ask for the manager at the next window to get my money back. I wasn't upset - I knew (or so thought) it would be rectified and I'd get my money back. Because mistakes happen and it's okay! Well let me tell ya... when I explained the mishap at the window, what seemed like a sub-manager or co-manager told me what was done was done and how I could avoid it next time (when it wasn't my fault). Therefore I suggested I could receive a refund and redo the order. Oh goodness, it was like I was asking for an arm and a leg. And mind you, I used to work at a McDonalds so I kept my voice upbeat and chipper because I know it can get stressful so I wanted to alleviate any stress they might be feeling. She then abruptly leaves the window and brings a(nother?) manager back. They stand in front of the window, she is pointing at me explaining the situation in a language other than English. I had no idea how she was speaking about me, and it made me very uncomfortable and I wanted to leave right then and there without even having gotten any food yet. The male manager looks at me, then responds to her in the other language, and she sticks the card reader at me and says the amount of money I'll get back. Like she hated my guts. Guys, it was only about $1.50... why was this handled so poorly? I then ask for the receipt. The window closes. It opens again and she says "please park". It made me feel like they just invented a small number to refund me and didn't want to show it. I was mentally exhausted, so I said no thank you. I told her to try to have a nice day, all whilst keeping my smile on. McDonald's, where are your smiles? Your friendly customber service? Hire better people. (Props to the gen...
Read moreSeptember 7, 2024 - Food handler took out a brownie cookie from the front display without wearing any gloves and put it in a bag. The manager was next to her. Didn't find this going against hygiene handling of foods in a business. Shameful.
August 19, 2024 - Watered down tasteless coffee. 1 star for it being hot.
June 28/29, 2024 - Went through drive-thru on both days ordering 4 coffees total (among other items). Both days the coffees were either burned, watery, or they didn't actually listen to how the coffee was taken. Were they busy socializing on Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok? Were they texting their pals on where to go shopping later? I mean, if you can't even get coffee right, the rest is hopeless. This McDonald's may be committing to have a lower standard than the Tim Hortons in Brampton. Congratulations!
July 29, 2923 - Ordered two coffees. They don't even fill it close to the top. With rising costs, I never knew that McDonald's employees are paying for my coffee expenses out of their pocket. They're not? Oh, so it must be they want more profit since they manage the store. They don't? Well, then I guess they just don't think the customer deserves a full cup of coffee.
March 10, 2023 - Went through drive-thru, ordered a plain bagel toasted with cream cheese amongst other items. The bagel is squashed (look at pictures attached). The cream cheese is slathered with no attempt to keep it in the bagel sandwich. It's like the server in the kitchen dropped it to the ground and kicked it into the brown bag. Perfect way of serving food.
This location has a long way to go before we can ever get orders either...
