I'm not one to write negative reviews of places that serve food, I have personal experience in knowing how hard they are to be perfect. With that said, I have to share my experiences at this Tim Hortons in particular. Over the past 2 months I've frequented this Tim Hortons, either in the early afternoon, or around midnight, depending on my shift. In the last month alone, I can think of a few instances that my order has been incorrect, each time I'm shrugged it off as a simple mistake that was likely an infrequent error. Now I'm certain it's a habitual problem. My usual lunchtime order is a grilled chipotle chicken wrap, and a iced cap made with chocolate milk. The most recent time I've ordered it, I received an iced coffee instead of an iced cap. The time before that I got crispy chicken instead of grilled, and the time before that I didn't get a chipotle wrap, but got a different wrap that was not chipotle. My usual evening order is a large chili with cheese with a whole wheat bun, a large double double coffee, and a 4-cheese bagel with cream cheese. The last three times I've ordered this a mistake has been made. 3 times ago which was last week, I got the wrong bagel about 30 seconds after getting my chili, which was so quick I thought to question it, but the lady insisted it was mine, but it was some french toast or cinnamon bagel instead, I have no doubt another customer got my bagel. A few days ago I didn't receive a bun with my chili. And finally tonight, which is what lead me to writing this review is a short story of it's own.
I arrived and there was no other customers in the store, I was greeted and served immediately, good start. The lady behind my counter couldn't seem to get my order down right, and it took her three tries, and she apologized, but got it in. Then she found another of the female employees and they stopped to chat for over a minute about something completely different, meanwhile there was 3 or 4 other customers in line who were just standing there not being served. When I left about 2 minutes later with my food, only one other customer's order was taken. I got halfway home when I took out my food, there was no cheese in my chili, and there was no bun with it either. There was a butter and a knife though, so I guess...
Read moreI can understand having a broken mic system. Which bear in mind has been like that for about a month. I come here often and work at a business in the area that helps supply them with a fair amount of business.
Even when it was working, whoever is taking your order at the drive through just hears what they want to hear instead of asking to repeat yourself.
When the order is correct on the screen, they’ll still manage to get something wrong. Shoving people through the drive through for times is more important than the accuracy of the orders. If I wanted my order to be constantly wrong and made to feel like I’m inconveniencing the workers, I’d spend my money down the road.
Yesterday I asked for a sandwich with no egg. I got egg. I don’t like the egg, it’s not my preference but I love the sandwich without the egg. It’s a taste and sensory issue with myself. Thankfully it didn’t go to waste, but still very annoying. Today, I asked for two chocolate milks. I got three. Assuming I paid for three as well as no one ever gets a receipt to double check what they’re paying for. My donut was also missed this morning. I’m thankful that I had time to run in and get the things I paid for. Most mornings I don’t have that luxury as I’m off to work right away.
I haven’t ever had any of these issues or made to feel this way at the 18th street south location. I’ll probably just start going to that one as it’s still on my commute. Very...
Read moreToday broke the camel's back. I have been visiting the Middleton Ave location almost daily for many years. It's a sad state to watch it get flushed down the toilet as time goes on. Between 10-20 minute drive through wait times at 9-10pm when nobody else is in the drive through, to rude and ignorant staff and incompetent management, I've had enough.
I find it utterly disgraceful and disrespectful to pull up to the window first thing in the morning, not one word is said and have a debit machine held out while they have their back turned to you. Then they do the same when handing out your drinks and food. They're more interested in having conversations amongst themselves than to invest any effort into customer service. I honestly have a more pleasant experience with the Walmart door greeters.
Also the accuracy or quality has gone way down as well. Between slapped together wraps that fall apart when you open the bag to getting wrong drinks it's not even worth the time to visit here anymore.
I ordered a steeped tea and bagel this morning as usual and I got a coffee and a bagel with what I'm going to refer to as the "essence of cream cheese". I'm sure glad I paid almost a dollar for the idea of cream cheese. (This is also a common happening as well)
I have voiced my concerns to the manager several times and nothing ever changes, I am done supporting...
