Came here tonight, August 9 2025, because we were already in Brantford. The staff were very friendly and eager to help. It was our first time here and to our surprise, we were told a kiddie cup was a very generous serving of ice cream. I had watermelon and betty's blueberry cheesecake. They were so yummy. I really enjoyed the watermelon flavour and I highly recommend that to watermelon lovers. My family loved all their ice cream choices and can't wait to make the drive back to Brantford.
UPDATE: 1 WEEK LATER August 16, 2025, We came back because we were so impressed with the portion size and flavour of ice cream that we brought a couple of our family members with us from Hamilton. They were looking so forward to the generous sized kiddie, but were so disappointed as the scoops were very inconsistent. When we were here last week, both staff scooped the same amount for all customers. There were no unsatisfied customers that day. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for Saturday evening. My husband and I were served by this young girl who also served us the previous Saturday. So, our generous kiddie cups were as comparable to ice cream scooped previously. But last night the other 2 family members were served by the other staff member. Their cups of icecream for kiddie was half a kiddie plus the individual forgot 1 flavour. Since I saw that their cups were not filled appropriately compared to our kiddie, I approached the young girl showing her that my 2 family members were not served the correct amount. She responded, " Oh sorry but everybody scoops differently." Now, this is not handled appropriately. I was told and showed last time how BIG a kiddie was. So there was no confusion in the amount of ice cream scooped. I feel that the staff should have compensated my family members with equal amount of ice cream scooped as the other staff and perhaps train ALL staff to scoop equal amount for all customers so no one feels cheated out of their special treat. Suffice to say, my family members have quite a negative experience at Dueys. They barely wet their lips on ice cream served. Read moreWas refused service yesterday. Employee stated that they do not honour mask exemptions, even though the sign on the door clearly states that medical exemptions are honoured. Terrible service. They lost 5 customers in just one visit. Employees need to be trained on how to treat customers with respect and dignity.

I wouldn’t say the staff was polite. Not even remotely close. They told us they could serve us outside... (pure discrimination) to which one person from our group stood out there waiting and the staff served everyone else in line first (even though we were well ahead of them), and by that point, we had had enough. Plus, who would want to support such poor service? Bullying and embarrassing people who CANNOT wear a mask is certainly not the way to go. Too bad, because I had heard good things about your place.
