Yamato - West Kelowna — Restaurant in British Columbia

I ordered the pad Thai curry on Door Dash. There was no disclosure of seafood in the dish. There was an option to have tofu which I picked. I’ve ordered Pad Thai from many restaurants in Kelowna that do not have any fish or fish products in the dish. Either way there’s a requirement to disclose potential allergens such as seafood on menu items.

I was eating the pad Thai curry that arrived and it tasted like salmon. My fiancée eats meat and tried it and said it was salmon as well. I called the restaurant and calmly explained the situation. The person on the line offered no solution to the meal I could not eat. She blamed DoorDash for the issue and said pad Thai always has fish sauce and prawns. She said it wasn’t salmon but a prawn paste. She did not suggest talking to a manager, and simply mentioned that she didn’t know what to do as they were busy. She took my name and said I could get a credit for a meal on another day. If a restaurant manages a situation like this well, then you want to return and try the food again. This was handled poorly and I had no dinner or solution for what was ordered. It felt like the woman on the phone wanted nothing to do with the call, even though I was calm and reasonable. My go to place for Japanese and Asian food. Definitely not purely Japanese, you can find Indian dishes, Chinese Dishes AND Southeast Asia dishes here that all are spectacular. My favorite so far is the Dragonagi Roll, never has it disappointed me. Incredibly fresh ingredients and great service. It is primarily a Japanese cuisine restaurant but I am happy to see they have other cuisines available as Sushi isn't enjoyed by everyone so it enables you to take people here and everyone find something they'll enjoy.

My grandfather who is a very old fashion person and has NEVER had Japanese cuisine loved his Dragonagi roll and even took some food home to my grandmother, truly a enjoyable experience.

Ordered from DoorDash. (Also I live 30 mins out of town) my husband want to pick up. The restaurant forgot one whole sushi roll, charged me for a large wonton soup but only gave me a small and I asked for noodles on the side for both noodle soups and we ended up just getting know noodles at all.

Talked to the “manager” who said they live out our way and would bring it out after her shift. Which personally I didn’t want to do as that doesn’t help me right now. After I said no she started getting snippy and was coming off very rude saying “I’m trying to fix this” which yes I understand but I really don’t want to wait until after your shift to get the rest of my order which should have been in the box the first time. At the end of the day I got charged $98 but the restaurant only gave me $81 of my order and we also have no noodles for our soup.
