Friends Pub and Liquor Store — Restaurant in West Kelowna

I have been a long time customer (probably at least 15yrs) of friends pub and they used to have great food and great service. Over the last 4yrs we have started choosing other places as the food has been hit or miss. The service at times has also been hit or miss. Today has sealed the deal for me, and I will not be returning. The waitress had to be asked to leave her mask on while serving and she kept touching her mask and face. My husband and I ordered the the beef dip but decided to upgrade to Philly style for $2 more. well the menu reads beef dip with onion rings or upgrade to a Philly style for $2 more. you think this would include onion rings the way it reads. NOPE they charge you the extra money and take out the onion rings.we complained about the missing onions ringsand they did not care or even take $2 charge off. as well the beef was super grissly but i gave up complaining at this point and just paid the bill and left. they did nothing to remedy the situation. I have been going to Friend's Pub 8-10 times a year for appetizers full meals and on some Saturday nights to watch karaoke. The food and service has always been good. Three of us went to the pub last Saturday and started off by ordering three shooters. The waitress brought us the shooters and I accidentally knocked mine over on the table. The waitress asked me if I would like another. My response was yes please. As it turned out, I was charged for the shooter I had knocked over on the table by mistake. The waitress was very friendly. However, I don't know if this is Friend's Pub's policy to charge me for a full shooter that I accidentally spilled or the decision of the waitress? Not a friendly place at all! We were so excited to be visiting this place for Karaoke and to celebrate a milestone birthday and were met by rude service. Our server was rude off the hop. Then she forgot to put in our order and once we identified this, she made an excuse and began talking about us behind our backs to the other staff. I then attempted to calmly talk with the manager to explain the situation and she was extremely rude and dismissive to me, calling “us” rude and not open to Listening. This all could have been avoided if our server just apologized and got us our food. We are appalled and will never go back nor recommend this place.
