My spouse and I had an unforgettable dinner at Stefano’s Bistro in Beaverton tonight, and I can’t recommend this place enough! This small-town gem truly exceeded our expectations with its exceptional food, thoughtful service, and cozy atmosphere. We started with the appetizers, and they were nothing short of phenomenal. The grilled calamari was a revelation—I’ve never had it prepared quite like this before. The calamari was perfectly charred, giving it a delightful smokiness, while still retaining its freshness. It was paired beautifully with a tangy balsamic glaze and fresh vegetables, creating a balance of flavors that was both bold and refreshing. We also ordered the portobello mushroom cap and the bruschetta, both of which were equally impressive. The mushroom was rich and savory, and the bruschetta had that perfect mix of crisp bread, ripe tomatoes, and aromatic basil—every bite was a treat. For our main courses, we opted for the fresh halibut and the pollo parmigiana, and both dishes were outstanding. The halibut was cooked to perfection, flaky and tender with a light seasoning that let its natural flavor shine. The pollo parmigiana was equally delightful, with a crispy coating, tender chicken, and a rich tomato sauce that was clearly made with care. Every element on the plate showed the chef’s dedication to quality and flavor. What really elevated the experience was the atmosphere and service. The bistro has an intimate, cozy vibe that makes you feel right at home, despite the upscale dining experience. Between the appetizers and main courses, the staff came to completely refresh our cutlery and plates—a small but thoughtful touch that made the meal feel even more special. It’s clear they take pride in every detail, which is rare to find in a small town like Beaverton. Stefano’s Bistro is truly a hidden gem, bringing world-class dining to an unexpected place. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and make a reservation—you won’t be...
Read moreThe phrase 'hidden gem' must have come into existence because of this place. Because that's exactly what this place turned out to be. Me and my partner decided to celebrate our holidays and bring in the new year away from the hustle bustle of Toronto and decided to spend a few days in small towns two, three hours away from Toronto. Once such town was Beaverton. A small, sleepy, picturesque town that has lots of natural beauty all around. Night before the new year's we were walking around town in the evening, a lot of the places were closed due to the holidays, however we came across this place called Stefano's and decided to walk in.
We were very pleasantly greeted by our server Emily. She was such an amazing host. Gave amazing recommendations. Me and my partner ordered a Caprese salad, a lobster risotto that she had, and I had a fresh Atlantic salmon fillet. Followed by an apple crumble cheesecake. I ended my meal with a cappuccino.
OMG! Have never tasted food this delicious. So fresh, so perfectly balanced, so mastefully prepared. This was fine-dining at its finest. And at truly spectacular prices. This is right amongst the best places we've ever eaten at.
This place is worth the drive. If you live in Toronto and want yo have a fun, weekend thing to do - go here. Spend some time at the Beaverton Harbour, walk around, take in all the amazing scenic beauty, work up that appetite and go to Stefano's. The chef, Stephan, even came up to our table and asked how we liked our dinner. So gracious, so honest - with his words, actions and with the way he prepares and plates the food. Beaverton, you are lucky to have Stephan. And Stephan you are lucky to have Emily. :)
A truly, one of a kind dining experience. Absolutely MUST go. We almost reserved a table for the next day (New Year's eve) because we wanted to try so many other delicious sounding items on the menu but we had other plans and had to skip but we will surely be...
Read moreAfter reading the reviews I thought we'd try Stefano's Bistro for take out dinner. We called in the order on a Sunday at 5:10 PM and it was ready at 5:40 PM for pick up. We chose to try the Beef Short Ribs, the Pollo Parmigiana and the Beef Wellington (which is only available on weekends), Caesar Salad and French Onion Soup. The Staff at the take out window was friendly and helpful and observed Covid safety protocols when taking our payment. She brought our order out to the curb for us where we were parked. The order was packaged securely in plastic reusable containers, complete with individual serviette and plastic cutlery packages. The portions were very generous and as result we have some leftovers for tomorrow. Although it was served with a piece of three cheese garlic toast, the French onion soup had no cheese or bread in it so it was different from what we thought it would be. The beef was tender and the Caesar salad was crisp and flavorful. Their menu was definitely a welcomed change for us. I encourage you to support this new restaurant in town and give them a try. During these crazy times, It is evident they are striving to deliver their food in manner that doesn't compromise presentation or flavour. We look forward to trying different items on the menu next time and eventually dining in once...
