Title: Disappointing Experience at My Regular A&W Location

I visited my usual A&W location today, where I’ve consistently had above-average experiences in the past. Unfortunately, today was a real disappointment.

I ordered my usual burger combo, substituting French fries with onion rings — something I do every time. However, the onion rings I received were the worst I’ve ever had. They were completely soaked in oil, as if they had just been dipped in it rather than properly fried. To make matters worse, they weren’t even warm.

This has never happened before, so I wonder if the fryer temperature wasn’t properly maintained. If anyone from management is reading this, I strongly recommend re-checking the fryer and ensuring that staff are properly trained.

I plan to return soon and order the same combo to see if things have improved. But if I have the same experience again, I won’t be returning to this...

2024/03/29 11:50 pm After giving a 5-star rating in the past, I had a bad experience tonight when I went to pick up an order. The store's door was open, so I walked inside and waited. Then, a man of South Asian descent who was working there came over to me. I told him that I was there to pick up an order, and asked if I could use the washroom. He replied with a firm "No." I was not sure if I had heard him correctly, so I asked him to repeat himself. He said that I could not use the washroom and that I had to wait outside. It was disappointing to be treated this way, especially since they left the door open and it was their mistake. This kind of service is not a good way to keep customers. NOTE , The 2 starts are for the lady who work there. She was more polite than this person. 2024/03/29. Update: its 12:39am now (btw I've been waiting for over 37 mins ,yet.. I finished writing and iam still waiting...

Hi ! Went to AnW today at 8605 Glenlyon Pkwy, Burnaby, BC. Super amazing service! A worker named Komalpreet came out and asked everyone on the patio how was the food! This is my first time I've ever experienced this! I asked if she was the manager but she said she wasn't and the stated the owner asked them to do this service~ Well , kudos to the worker and the owner! Well done in training them! Food is always great and the cashier that day ( working at 12pm) was very clear in presenting options and super helpful! This is a super AnW hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and has clean seating inside and outside. They also offered the customers candy!! The service is amazing! I took a picture of the worker who asked us about our food ,Komalpreet, but she was so shy haha! Great service Komal! I wanted the owner to know she deserves the compliments we gave her!
