Freshslice Pizza - The Crystal Mall — Restaurant in Burnaby

I thought I'd give this new location a try since I love Fresh Slice and it's close to my house. I usually will travel to the Heights for Fresh Slice. My first visit was a lengthy wait but I understood because they were very busy. The staff was friendly and my pizza's came out piping hot. Get home and the pizza is missing feta and parmesan. Okay mistakes happen. A week later go back order again. The girl was amazing super kind and sweet but seemed to not know the till. Okay no worries maybe she is training. I work in the business so I try to be understanding. Pizzas came after 15 minutes. Another plus since first time took over a half hour. Get home and my pizza has added ingredients I didn't request and is missing tomatoes. Also as I write this I see from a review they have a topping bar which is a huge selling point but isn't advertised or are you told when entering that it's an option. It is hard to see from till unless you turn to look away from till. Disappointing to say the least after now spending 100.00 dollars at this...

Absolutely unacceptable. I stopped in for a quick slice and was served one that was clearly old and stale. When I politely mentioned it wasn’t fresh, the owner — who was working herself — snapped back saying, “It’s fresh. I don’t care — you can have it or leave it.”

Mind you, I only took one slice, and even she knew it wasn’t fresh. I saw her take it from an old tray while the rest of the pizza in front was clearly new. She had fresh slices taped and ready, yet she still chose to serve me the last leftover one from the previous batch instead of doing the decent thing and putting it in the Too Good To Go bag where it belonged.

For an owner to treat a paying customer like that — with such arrogance and zero care — is shameful. This place has no respect for customers and clearly no standards when it comes to food quality. Never going back and definitely not recommending it to anyone. Total waste of...

Just tried this new pizza place and I’m honestly super impressed!

This place really nails the trifecta of what makes a great pizza shop. Orders come out in under 15 minutes - perfect for when you’re actually hungry. The pricing is totally reasonable too, so you won’t break the bank for quality food.

But most importantly, the taste is legit good! The crust hits that sweet spot - not too thick and doughy, not too thin and crispy. Fresh toppings, generous portions, everything you want.

Real talk - this is the best Hawaiian pizza I’ve had! The pineapple and ham combo is perfectly balanced, sweet and savory without being overwhelming. The cheese pull game is strong, and it’s totally Instagram-worthy.
