Passed by this place a few times. From the outside I dont think I would give it a second thought. My wife and I have not had a special dinner out in a long time(7+years). I tried their email form on their website to ask a question. No response. I then tried calling for a 6pm reservation for Fri 17th. After the call I wasnt totally convinced that it would be a good idea. The person who answered seemed to be in a rush and did not seem to know how to answer. I was pretty sure of a reservation and since we had not eaten at a Italian restaurant in a long time I went with the concept of an adventure. After all if it fell through there is a Tim Horton`s across the street. We arrived to find a quaint little restaurant, a reserved table with a sign on it. A wonderful meal, a Specialty Espresso Martini, Bruschetta with Cheese(I could quibble that there is way too much cheese on this but it was goooood!), Veal Parmigiana (Served with Spaghetti in tomato sauce) and wine Pinot Noir - California , Apple Crisp Melt-Away and Specialty Coffee; Italian Coffee. We had a great dinner. Sept 12/25. Decided to visited again. No reservation just winged it. Checked the website which I think had some updates. Looked at daily specials on the way in but did not catch what was on it, have to do it next time or let the chef decide. Had our usual app Bruschetta w/ a blend of goat cheese and mozzarella.....heavenly Mains.... 1 Penne alla Vodka and Crostacei Mista for the wife.. DESSERT Affogato drinks 1/2 bottle white can't remember type, 1 Lemon Meringue cocktail and 1 Dolce Specialty Coffee. Another great meal. thx It is very hard for me to spend the money I do on this food but after it is all over ooooh it is so gooooddddd!!!! And...

Popped in here on Easter Monday post spa day at Millcroft before heading back home to Toronto. Google reviews and favourable prices compared to other establishments in the area brought us in. I have to say that the curb appeal doesn’t match the cute decor inside. While we were the only party dining, it must get pretty cramped and noisy with a full house. Can also see that enhancing the Italian charm too though.

Caesar salad was not remarkable, but really enjoyed the two cheese bruschetta. Have never been served it like that before with the cheese melted on top of the tomatoes. Calamari was fresh and perfectly cooked. Not sure I would order it again…rather likely try something else for variety.

Entree was the gorgonzola gnocchi with mushrooms and shrimp. Good portion size and flavour. Nicely prepared.

Also pictured is the chicken parmesan that one of my companions ordered.

Could do without seeing fly ribbon traps hanging in the windows and roach/bug traps on the window sill. Perhaps remove them during opening hours? This does not alter my 5 🌟 rating. Merely a suggestion.

Definitely recommend and would return if ever in...

Lovely little family restaurant located in a small plaza right next to the main intersection. Parking was easy to find as it wasn't a busy time. We called ahead to make sure we wouldn't need a reservation as seating is very limited.

Service was perfect - just the right amount of attention without being overly attentive. We ordered bruschetta as a starter and it came out quickly; by the time we were finishing that our mains were out. We opted for the Austrian Schnitzel and Veal Marsala, both with penne. The portions are a very good size so the higher price was worth it. We ended with a single order of cannoli for dessert. I was pleasantly surprised to taste a hint of citrus in the cannoli, just enough to brighten the flavour without overwhelming it. Everything was delicious and we're excited to visit again in the future.

Update: went back and remembered to take photos of the food! Every bit as good as I remember it being before. Service was excellent despite a fully packed house. Absolutely recommend this as a must-stop when you're...

Came here with a party of 3, food was fresh and decent but needed a couple of tweaks. The pizza I ordered was their prosciutto pizza and it was a white pie with cherry tomatoes, a cheese base and prosciutto with arugula on top. There was A LOT of cheese on it, which made it feel very heavy, definitely more cherry tomatoes or something acidic like a balsamic reduction would have helped. Still overall, a great experience. The place is a prime definition of a 'hole in the wall', its quite small and can only fit 10-12 tables at max capacity. Our server was nice and attentive, but not overbearing which is good. Overall, we had a good time.
