Our first visit to Inaka Japanese Restaurant in Caledon Village was a heartening experience. The place, though small in size, exudes a comforting and intimate ambiance that makes dining there a distinct pleasure.
The seating area added to the charm of the place, making it feel cozy and personal. It’s the kind of setting that encourages close conversations while enjoying your meal.
In terms of the food, the sushi and sashimi were clearly made with fresh ingredients, a testimony to their dedication towards maintaining quality. Although the presentation was basic, it in no way detracted from the taste of the dishes.
While we did not receive a guided tour through the menu, the staff were polite and the service was prompt. It would have been helpful to get more insights into the dishes, but the quality of the food and the overall experience more than compensated for it.
In conclusion, Inaka Japanese Restaurant offered us a satisfying introduction to their take on Japanese cuisine. It’s a great spot for casual dining in Caledon Village and we’re looking forward to returning for more of...
Read moreI visited Inaka Japanese for lunch with a friend and we were both impressed by the quality and variety of the food. The restaurant is cozy and inviting, with a friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere. The menu offers a range of dishes, from sushi and sashimi to noodles and tempura. We ordered the bento boxes, which came with miso soup, salad, rice, and four different items of our choice. The portions were generous and the flavors were authentic and delicious. The fish was fresh and tender, the chicken was crispy and juicy, the vegetables were crunchy and flavorful, and the sauces were well-balanced and complementary. The presentation was also appealing, with colorful ingredients and garnishes. We enjoyed every bite and felt satisfied but not stuffed. The price was reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food. We would definitely recommend Inaka Japanese to anyone looking for a great Japanese...
Read moreThe Good: Staff was very friendly and unbelievably quick The Bad: I found the selection to be lacking. Especially on the rolls. Nothing particularly adventitious or creative. Price, relative to other places I found to be a higher than expected. The Ugly: The sashimi was one of the worst I have ever had. In fairness it was fresh. That said, for a sashmi boat (40+ pieces), it only had 4 verities of fish. It was basically all salmon with bit of tuna, butter fish and Snapper for colour. But the real faux pas, was how it was prepared. In that they were cut into massive chunks. "Sushi" in general is all about balance and proportion. I guess you could give them credit for being generous, but it completely compromised the meal. As they say - its not quantity its quality. Conclusion - would not go...
