My group of friends and I have been coming here almost weekly for 3 years. The food is amazing and the service is usually pretty good...until last week.
Around the beginning of fall/end of summer last year they introduced a points card where when you buy 10 dinners, you get a free one. Since this program has been in effect my one friend and I have both already redeemed a free dinner on this system and had started a new card at the beginning of the year.
So last week one of my friends and I had dinner and went up to the counter to pay as well as redeem our point/signature. My friend had 5/10 stamps full and received her 6th stamp on this visit, and had her card handed back to her with no problems. When it came time for me to get my 8/10 stamp on this visit, the owner (woman) who was processing our payment took my card and looked at it then proceeded to call over 3 people including her husband, a waiter (who knows us and how often we come here and usually joke around with) as well as a sushi chef and continued to converse amongst themselves in Japanese in front of us for like 5 whole minuets (rude). Once their little meeting was over she proceeded to try and "explain" to me that there were 3 signatures on this card that "didn't look Japanese" and that she would be taking my card away and giving me a new card with ONE stamp for todays meal. W T F. Then she asked my friend for her card back, even though it had already been "approved" and said "oh, none of these look Japanese either" and took her card away and said that she would give her a new card with ONE stamp for todays meal. W T F
You see, instead of having an actual "stamp" to mark these points, the staff initial the card, so they are never consistent any ways. Ultimately they called my friend and I a thief and a liar even though we have been faithful to them for 3 years and always tip. Just because they are too cheap to actually stick to their promotion and give us the free meal in a months time, seeing as how we go their weekly.
If she dose this enough times to enough people, they will be saving a lot of money, considering each "stamp" is worth about $2.09 towards...

My experience at sushi date was very bad... I went with 5 friends because they convinced me to go so I gave it 1 more chance. BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE
So we get there and all of us ordered 5 sprites and a bunch of sushi. They gave us our drinks but it wasn't even the drinks we ordered... it was water SMH So then we asked for sprite again and they got it right. We got our sushi 30-40 minutes after we ordered... SO SLOW! We got our food and it was so bad the rice tasted stale everything tasted like it was made the day before. We also ordered the beef teriyaki and the meet was cold ARE YOU KIDDING ME SMH
Me and my friends didn't even finish the food because it was so gross. After eating some of the sushi I did not feel good and neither did my friends. My friends got food poisoning in the restaurant. I was so mad so I asked if we can get a Disscount and they said there is nothing we can do... WOW WHAT GREAT COSTOMER SERVICE! SMH... THEY ALSO RAISED THE PRICES FOR LUNCH IT USE TO BE $15 AFTER TAX AND NOW IT'S $20... BIGGEST WASTE OF MONEY
By the way me and my friends love sushi and we are not picky at all!!! but that just ruined our whole day because we felt like garbage.
If you want good sushi in Bolton go to SUSHI HAMA SO...
Read moreThe beginning of the dinner was fine. Our first order came and it was correct, no mistakes. Only problem was that we had to ask three times for a side of spicy mayo while we watched that same server we had just asked, stand around looking at the ceiling. We went on to order again, this time we received our whole second order twice. Yes, they duplicated the whole order. We told them that it was fine and we would have the food that they mistakenly made but when we asked them to remove 4 pieces of sushi from our table because it tasted horrible, they argued back with us about it after we had just agreed to eat our second order X2!!! Lastly, we placed one last order of a few things, waited 30 mins for one item on our order to arrive and it was cold. when we told the waitress about the cold food she once again argued with us and then grabbed a pair of chopsticks from our table and stabbed them both into the bowl of food. we never received the rest of our order after this happened.
despite the long story, this is by far the worst AYCE sushi spot EVER! the food is mediocre but if only they could get it on the table this review would make it to a...
